Received safety recall from Chrysler. States that our Chrysler is on the recall list for air bag repair. Called the local dealer in new port richey, Florida and advised we would be called for correction of safety recall. This was over a year ago and have not been notified by the dealership.

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. While driving approximately 25 mph, another vehicle drove through a red light and crashed into the front passenger door of the contact's vehicle. The front driver and passenger side air bags deployed. The excessive internal pressure that caused the air bags to rupture produced metal fragments that struck the passenger. The passenger sustained a broken neck and a badly bruised and swollen face. The driver suffered from loss of memory and sustained a headache for three months. Both the driver and passenger required medical attention and a police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V354000 (air bags). The approximate failure mileage was 30,000...updated 10/15/14 updated 11/21/14 the consumer stated the driver's air bag deployed 1/4 of the way, then burst. The vehicle was totaled. Updated 12/02/14.
