Laminate is melting on uconnect interface for control panel for climate control, navigation, defrost/defog, and radio. This defect causes "phantom" screen touches which causes the navigation system to skip around to different destinations while in use causing the potential for an accident as the driver suddenly must change course when listening to verbal prompts. Also, defrost/defog cannot be set and relied upon because "phantom" screen touches turn them off at random causing a driving hazard.
