While on a curvy road after dark, at 45 mph, the electrical system shut down, dash lights flashed and went off, engine died. 40 mph on a curvy road with no lights. After 20 seconds it all came back on. Had no problems for 3 months. Electrical system has momentarily shut down on 4 other occasions since then. On 12/08/15 my wife was in line at the dandridge elementary school picking up my grandson. While in car pickup line with the transmission in drive, the dash lights came on, the vehicle accelerated (surged forward) then died. Engine died 5 times before she could get it home. This would be called a near miss accident in a workplace setting.car is operating normally at this time. I held an ase master technician certification and in my opinion it is a dangerous electrical condition. I realize that someone must die in order to get this problem fixed and that is a shame.

My Chrysler 300C has been stalling everytime I drive it. Ive taken it to two Chrysler dealerships. One of them charged me more then $300 for nothing because they couldn't even find the problem but ended up charging me for the time. The second dealership changed my fuel tank that Chrysler gave a lifetime warranty on. It did not fix the problem. The car is still stalling at every stop I make. I think the problem isn't with the fuel tank because it did not fix the stalling issue. I think that its something to do with the wiring or computer. I also think that Chrysler should fix this issue asap. They said it was the gas tank but its clearly not. Why should I be paying thousands of dollars for a faulty problem that isnt my fault. I take care of my car and its only got 140,000km on it. Chrysler told me that it would cost thousands of dollars to find the problem. Please let me know what I should do. I think that Chrysler said it was the fuel tank because that would be a cheaper way to handle with this issue other then spending hours to find the problem. Chrysler should be fixing this problem not me. The car has died on me while making a left turn in the middle of a intersection. That is not safe and it has happened to me more then 20 times. I also feel like im damaging my car everytime I have to turn it back on. It also guzzles the gas more just by turning it back on everytime. Please get Chrysler to do something about this. If the car still has the stalling issue after getting the gas tank changed then atleast get Chrysler to find the problem at no cost to me.

My car has been displaying erratic behavior for about the last seven months. The more recent problem I've experienced is that my car shuts off at a complete stop and sometimes as I'm braking to come to a stop at a light and power steering locks up as it shuts off. I feel this is extremely unsafe being I've dodged a few accidents already because of this issue. What if I'm at a light and getting ready to turn or make a U turn and it shuts off in on coming traffic, or if I'm on the highway and I have to suddenly brake and it shuts off at high speeds. I'm not sure what can be done but I hope I can get help some way, some how. I feel my life depends on it.

What happen is that I just got the car used, had it 3 days cut the car off would not start back, I called the people who I got the car from, they came and got it, had it for three weeks, could not fix it so they send it to a dealership they had it a month and a half still didn't fix it right, they said it was fixed but was not, I picked the car up drove it home 30 minutes, got home forgot something at the store got in car would not say anything, lights and radio and still came on but car would not start, I could smell gas and they came and got the car again never mine that I had only had the car 3 days, ok they put new Cadillac converters on iti picked the car up, on my way home driving 20, car just cut off I thank god that no one hit me and it was 3 cars behind me I sat there for a minute and it started back but cut right off again, so I waited for a few more minutes, tried again, car started up and I went home cut car off, after 3 hours car was just dead would not do anything. Again call the shop, they came in picked the car up and that Aug, right now the car is in the shop, they cant seem to find out what's wrong with it, they put a lot of new parts on the car they said when they thank it is fixed they let the car run about a hour, but yet again it cuts off, something needs to be done about these cars cutting off while they are being drove, there are no recalls on these cars for that, there are many many complaints about the same thing, what is going on with Chrysler don't they know that a person can get kill driving and the car cuts off at any speed, I have my grand baby's everyday, I will never want anything to happen to them or me, all I can say is something needs to be done. Yes I was driving down the road and my radio blew up and threw glass all over me and my car /I feel like I had been shot at was listening to music, then had glass flying at me. Luckily, I had my sun glasses on at the time because I had glass all over me, the front seat, and the back seat just every were in my car. Now I have an empty space were the radio goes. Someone is responsible for this if the stereo are not built better than that then why are they being put in cars now my car has a empty ugly hole because of this. Please reply with an answer. The 300 had a recall on the fuel tank, which was replaced January 2015 by tate in frederick md. Since then the stalling issue has gotten worse. I took the car to tate 4 times, and was told 4 different diagnostics. 1= transmission, 2= battery, 3=plugs & coils, 4=canister for extra fuel. I replaced the spark plugs & coils. Which didn't correct the issue. I took it to a 2nd dealer. Darcar's in rockville md and they are now telling me that its the transmission control module & power control module. My car no matter if there is a full tank or a 1/4 of tank stalls when I am at idle. It can stall once or the max is 9 times. I have a 1 1/2 year old & 5 year old which is a safety issue. I found this forum, which are other people having the same issue & different dealers are throwing different parts. I don't think the replacement of the fuel tank corrected this true issue. Can you please help me with discovering the true cause and making the cars safe for the drivers and passengers?

I went to warm my car at about 1:55-2:25am Friday, and a awful smell, so I yelled for help, turned the ignition off my car was now on fire. I could see the flames from the passenger side I called the police department who transferred me to fire department who asked me what happened and to stay away from the vehicle I got a cup and of water put it out. The fire department came, department came to my home inspection of the car and said do not start the vehicle have it towed away.

I'm having the same problem with the car stalling when I fill up the gas tank all the way. It has happened numerous times and is very dangerous. I pulled out in traffic and it stalled, blocking traffic. It took several times to start again. Very dangerous. I could die. I took it to my local dealership in scottsbluff, ne and they don't see an extended lifetime warranty on the gas tank, like there is supposed to be, like it mentions on the NHTSA website.

It is extremely difficult to put shifter into park. It is usually stuck between R and P. I am required to forcefully pull shifter into neutral to start. This car has been plagued with some type of electrical issue that I have spent nearly $1000 trying to determine. I am unaware if the problem is related, but my concern is when it appears to be in park, the backup light are on. I can push the shift to put into park. I have removed the shroud in hopes to figure it out. This car is a pain.

The engine shut off completely while driving. This caused a total loss in power steering, head lights, and anti-lock brakes. Fortunately I was on a well lit road with a long straightaway and able to muscle the car to a safe stop. Had I been a few miles farther down the road I would have been on a winding road with no street lights. It would have certainly caused a major accident. I took the car into a mechanic and they found nothing wrong with it.

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300C. While driving 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost power and stalled. The steering wheel seized and the brakes became very difficult to operate. After ten minutes, the contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 109,000.

The car randomly stalls out and sometimes while driving at highway speeds all the lights will briefly flash on in the dash, immediate loss of power and violent bucking. This is ridiculous! it happens all the time. This is not the full fuel tank stalling issue. I already had the tank replaced. This happens at wot or at idle or in between. This car is unsafe to drive. I have no confidence in the car anymore. I still love this car, but I'm considering going on a crusade against Chrysler unless they do something immediately to fix this. Read the forums - many people are having the same issues with the 6.1L and 5.7L engines. No one knows what to do. Please help!!!

I had just filled up the tank and pulled across the street and into a parking lot. As I was pulling into a parking spot the car died. I was able to get it restarted after about three attempts. After leaving the store I drove home and it died on me at the end on the parking lot as I was pulling into traffic. It died once more as I was driving through a residential area at approx. 25 mph. After I got it home, I allowed it to idle in the driveway for about 5 minutes with no problem. After eating dinner I took it for a drive and it happened again at an intersection. Our Chrysler 300C had begun to stall out while driving with more than 3/4 tank of gas. We began to limit the amount of gas to never fill more than 3/4 tank. This lasted for approximately 6 months. In Dec, 2013 the vehicle began to stall at other times. I had between 1/4 to 1/2 in the tank when we were driving at approx 45mph when the vehicle began to stall then restart at first. Then it stalled entirely several times that evening as we tried to make it home. I had my 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters with me at the time. The next morning I took the vehicle to local dlr, lee Chrysler, were I purchased the vehicle. The vehicle stalled on me 3 times while I was trying to make it the 3 miles. The dealer had the car until 12-16-2013 when they advised that the proportional valve/purge vale needed replaced and that all of the updates to the system needed to be made. The total of this attempt to repair was $379.45. The car immediately began to stall again so I returned it. They kept the car for approximately two weeks with their computer hooked up to it then advised that the PCM needed replaced this repair cost a total of $1,018.61. The car was on empty so he offered to stop for gas. He filled the tank up then pulled out to 5 lanes of traffic and stalled. The vehicle would not restart for several attempts. I called the dealer and they wrecker after the vehicle. They had the car for one night and called us to pick up and run the gas out to 1/4tank. We were told it would not stall again because they had disconnected the emissions system. While I was driving the car on a very busy 7 lane hwy with my daughter and 3 month old granddaughter the car came to a dead stop in 40mph traffic. I was terrified but was able to get the vehicle to the center lane. They have now called and advised another sensor must be replaced. Someone is going to get injured or killed in this car.

While driving the car abruptly stalls as if someone just turned the ignition off. And it is not a good feeling when you have to maneuver three lanes without power steering or brakes. The car must be stopped completely turn the ignition off and then back on to get the car going till it stalls again 6 times tonight just to drive 10 miles to get home. No warning you can be going 65 miles an hour or 5 and then without warning it just shuts down. This has happened 5 times in the last year the dealer keeps saying they fixed it but no here it is again stalling out less than a week from being at the dealers. Some times less than a day after they have had it. Why cant Chrysler fix their own cars they act like they don't know what to do. It seems not to be a mechanical problem it runs great no sputtering or jerking just driving along and electronically it just shuts down. They have replaced a multitude of sensors and the PCM the tcm and some parts I cant even name and each time they say its fixed and each time it does the same thing again. I have spent thousands of dollars, lost time at work I cant drive my car with the feeling of safety or security. The stress levels in my family are sky high. What is it going to take for Chrysler to fix their own car people are being treated unfairly and unjustly by this car and company. Please if they cant fix their own car who can? we as consumer's are being unfairly victimized please help.
