2004 Chrysler Pacifica with 72,000 miles. About three months ago started hearing a clunking noise while car was changing gears. I started doing some research on what the problem might be.I found that a lot of other owners were having problems with their motor mounts. I put my car on a lift to inspect it and there was fluid leaking from around the motor mounts. The bushings were completely busted and broken. When I tried to get new parts, the dealership said they were not covered under warranty and were on backorder indefinitely. They say that I should just drive it until they get parts. I have found out from just about every owner of a Pacifica that they too have had to replace their motor mounts as well, at their own expense.(around $500) sometimes twice. Why hasn't Chrysler addressed this as a defect? this is a very costly and dangerous defect that needs to be addressed.

Loud clunking noise coming from engine during starts, stops, and turns. Discovered the noise is related to weak motor mounts cracking and breaking. Through online research I have discovered hundreds of similar complaints about Chrysler Pacifica motor mounts. They are not under warranty and the parts are not available due to backorder issues. This is a huge safety issue as motors can come loose during an accident not to mention potential damage to other parts of the vehicle due to the loose motor. Chrysler needs to initiate a recall to replace the motor mounts.

04 Chrysler Pacifica was struck on the passenger side by a semi, as a result of that the Pacifica then struck the guard rail on its drivers side. The impact was great enough to break multiple windows, take a tire completely off its rim, and yet the side airbags did not come out.

Power seats, driver memory, pedal height adjustment all failed simultaneously at about 58,000 miles. My wife is about a foot shorter than me, and cannot, therefore, drive the car anymore. I contacted Chrysler, and they were no help.

The car leaks in heavy rain and snow. From the sunroof and the sides of both front passenger doors, the water comes out through the side impact air bags and electrical panels. This somehow also causes the car battery to die.

Dash is cracking, in the center, starting from the windshield and going towards the passenger compartment. Dash bulging on driver's side at windshield.

1-my 2004 Pacifica will not start at times. Sometimes 2 weeks can go by without incident, then the car will not start until I hold my foot on the gas. The dealer claims that unless it happens while at their shop, they cannot do anything. 2- the drivers side mirror will change position and make a sound like gears trying to engage but cannot. Again, the dealer could not find a problem although it happens each time I use it. 3- I complained about the transmission being sluggish from a parked position until it passes first gear. They told me they could not find a problem. They told me I could pick up the car. I asked them to drive it. They now found the problem and claim the motor mount was broken. They said it happened because of a fender bender I was in. The fender bender occurred two months after purchasing the car and I have been driving it two years since that event without a problem. 4- my headliner keeps sagging where the headliner meets the moonroof. They have fixed it now three times. They said the manual tells them to use sticky velcro tape. I keeps happening.

I have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica AWD, currently has 50,000 miles. We have had problems since we drove it off the lot. Time after time we were told there were no codes signifying any problems, and they could never duplicate the noises we were experiencing. Climate control screen went out, this was replaced. Message display went out, unable to see safety warnings, compass, menu display stalling when turning at slow speeds popping and clunking noises when turning slowly load clanging noise when shifting from park to reverse, sounds like we ran over a large metal object. Leaks on driver side when raining warped rotors at 35,000 miles fuel gauge needle will plunge from F to E when there is a least half tank of gas. I have taken the car in on numerous occasions, they can never duplicate the problem noises to diagnose or fix.

The consumer stated that the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica has a visibility problem on the windshield. The structure is so thick that the consumer has a problem seeing on either side of the windshield. The consumer states that has had two crashes because he could not see through the windshield. The consumer says that when making a turn vision is being blocked by the post between the win shield and the side window. Also, the consumer insists that vision is blocked by the side view mirrors on the car. The consumer has taken the car back to the dealership. The consumer wants to trade the car in because he can not see very well. The dealer does not want to do any trading on the vehicle. The consumer has written to Chrysler so that they would reimburse the consumer for expenses on his insurance, and to take the car back. Chrysler has not responded to the letter. There were no injuries. A police report was taken on the second accident. Updated (11/04/05)

If the front widows are rolled up and rear windows are rolled down air pressure inside the compartment changes abruptly, and roof and hatch start bouncing. Pressure is so great that any person inside the vehicle their ears would become painful.
