Gas gauge fluctuates to empty with light and chime announcing no gas, but there is a three quarter tank full of gas. The engine turns off and steering locks without power. Used car purchased yesterday and we were stranded until we filled the tank with three gallons the car was in motion the first time it stalled. The second time it was idling at a stop light. The third time was in a parking lot. I turned the engine off than back on it resumed. We were heading in a straight directions.

My vehicle all of a sudden started to reflect an empty tank after a few minutes of driving after putting about a half a tank or more of fuel in the tank. I had one of the fuel pumps replaced and it seemed to have fixed the problem for a week or so and then it was doing the same thing again.

We just bought our 2005 Chrysler Pacifica not to long ago, and the check engine light comes on and stays on, it also affects our gas milage, we had it checked and that's when we found out that there is a recall on the gas sensor in the tank, and every now and again when we make left hand turns it dies on us. We have a child with multiple disabilities and we need a vehicle that is going to be safe to get him to his appointments.

As I sat at a stop light waiting for it to turn green, the speedometer jumped up to 20 mph and the vehicle lunged forward. I almost rear ended the vehicle in front of me. The vehicles check engine light came on and had stated on since than. I had the code scanned and it came back as codes P0700 and P0740. I searched for the meaning of those codes and they pretty much said it was the tcm (transmission control module) which had been recalled on several Chrysler Pacifica's. I called the local dealer and they said that was not a recall on my VIN specific vehicle. I of course asked how it was not recalled on my vehicle when everything I have read says it was for all 2005-2006 Pacifica's. there have been other reports of this same incident happening with other Pacifica owners as well. I would like to have the tcm on my vehicle recalled and replaced just as thousands of others were. If I had been and closer to any of the vehicles in front of me the several times this has happened then I would have rear ended several people by now and none of the accidents would have been my fault. These incidents happen every time I am driving in town. It never lunes forward as far as I am aware, on the freeway. Please help me fix this problem before it does cause an accident.

The vehicle has stalled multiple times during a left turn. Apparently many of the 05 Pacificas were recalled for this issue, but the Chrysler service said my vehicle was not under the recall even though it has the same issue under the recall. 06V432000. Since my VIN does not pull up the recall they will not cover fixing the vehicle, even though so many other cars were recalled in the same year for this dangerous issue.

My vehicle is having the same issue as the recall. I contacted Chrysler on July 30 2014. And was told that my VIN was not apart of the recall. I told them my vehicle is stalling as im going over 50mph my gas tank goes from half full to empty and the E light turns on. If I don't rush to the gas station my car will die as if it had no fuel left. ( leaving me stranded on the side of the road. With my children ). when I do put gas in its very slow and I have to hold the bar back on the gas pump itself or my car will turn the pump handle off. My RPM jumps up and down as im accelerating. It feels like my engine is hesitating. My gas pedal gets stuck while driving and I have to tap it with my foot to unstick it. How is this even safe. To recall some and not others. I'm a stay at home mother to 3 boys under the age of 5 years old. I read online the horror stories of people with the same problem and year make model everything and Chrysler is not doing anything to fix the problem. Please help me fix this problem before me and my children and everyone else before a serious accident is to happen. As of right now my car is state inspected. But I do not feel safe driving it anymore I so not want to risk the safety of my children's lives.

Since I purchased my vehicle the front low beam lights have went out numerous times while driving at night. I have had them replaced on several occasions and the problem persists. Recently I have had problems with my battery and was told by pepboys auto shop that something is draining the battery and its possibility is the exterior lighting/headlamps. Even though I continue to replace the headlamps they keep going out and my battery is being drained. After 2 batteries in 3 years I had the alternator checked and it was in good condition. I was told to look up a recall list where I found exterior lighting 05V066000 and I called. I also have had a fuel pump problem that seems to exist and no one can figure out way. After getting it fixed by the Chrysler dealership twice my vehicle will not pass smog because of another leak. I also found out that there are complaints of some similar issues fuel pump/powertrain control module software 06V432000 and I called. Please put these to issues on the recall list so that auto owners will be safe on the road and California's air will not be polluted by the fumes.

I was driving back from a picnic with my family, going home my car just stopped white smoke was pouring out of the tailpipeand smelt gas really bad it was a horrible experience but my main problem is I only have had this car sine February 19 2013 and so I called my insurance company and had it towed to my home.I called my warranty company they said bring it to the nearest Chrysler dealership and have it looked at so I did in the mean time I check to see any recalls on my vehicle and there is one for the fuel module and power train so I got a phone call from the person that I was speaking with he said my car caught on fire and now I need a new engine this is a 5000.0 dollar engine that I don't have now my warranty said they were not going to cover it and the guy I am financing the car said for me to eat the loss well I am very unhappy right now because I have no car and no answers to why this happened I also don't want anyone else to go through this kind of thing thank god my family was not in the car when it caught on fire or there would be more serious consciences if anyone could please contact me in trying to help me figure out what happened that would be great everyone I talk to said that Chrysler should be able to help me. I am not looking to have to bring in a lawyer or anything like that I would just like to know how would you feel if it happened to you and if possible how to restore my faith in Chrysler again.

I am continuously having problems with the fuel system. It constantly runs out of gas even though I may have recently put gas in. The gauge is always floating between empty and full, but within driving for a few minutes it will drop down on "E" and the gas light comes on. I've had the fuel line and tank checked for blockage, but the certified mechanic says that there's nothing blocking either. I must make frequent stops to put gas in again, but at no time will it allow me to pump more than $10-$15 worth of gas (regardless of the gas prices). Knowing that I've just put gas in, I'll continue to drive a while, but then the car will begin to slow down because it has shut down and the low fuel light will either come on or be on. I was told that there was or maybe a recall that effects my vehicle and I don't know what else to do to get help on this problem.

There is a very strong fuel smell that is seeping into the passenger compartment of the car. It seems to appear around 40 to 50 mph and is very strong in the last week. At 125,000 mi the ABS sensors turns on and off constantly. When you first press the brakes it does not grab the rotors and continues to not stop until the ABS light comes on and the brakes perform normal. This is very scary because the car almost went thru several intersections without stopping. The fuel indicator drops to almost empty when it falls below half a tank for about 6 months.

While turning into the bank parking lot at 10mph the car just stalled. I was unable to brake or steer out the way. When gas gauge reads empty I am unable to fill the tank with gas as it begins to spill back out. Gas gauge reads 1/2 full when it is really empty? miles to empty sensor incorrect therefore I have no idea when I need gas. Driver side exterior headlamp seems dimmer than the other lamp. After repairing the entire front end(suspension) still sounds like the front end is going to fall apart when driving on Ohio roads. Felt it was necessary to document as I do not feel safe in this car.

Driving home on highway with three children in the car. Gas gauge suddenly drops from1/2 tank to empty and car stalls immediately on the highway. I am towed to a gas station where I try to put gas into the tank and am only able to put a gallon or two in at a time as if the tank were full. Past 6 months, the gas gauge is inconsistent, drops from 1/2 to empty and am unable to put more than a gallon or two in at a time. Mechanics as well as myself contact Chrysler who claim that they don't know what the problem could be. I look on-line and see that Pacifica's have been recalled for this exact problem. I ask that you look into how my Pacifica is different from the ones that have been recalled. It is the same year as others that have been recalled and is doing the exact same thing as those on the recall list.
