I was driving from work was stopped at a light and the car stopped. I had people push the car to the curb. I waited for help and the car started after about a half hour. I was driving the car about three months later with my 11 yera old in the car and the car started to slow down. I was able to turn into a parking lot and the car stopped. The car would not start, even though dashboard lights came on. I had the car towed to my home.

Had my 2005 Pacifica in the shop to replace the muffler when they got it up on the rack they found the engine cradle on the passenger side of the car was so rotted they advised me not to drive it. Called the dealership and they estimated the cost for repair at $3700. Chrysler was notified of the problem and advised me that they would not help financially with any repair costs. What will it take to issue a recall" people dying" do your job NHTSA. Recall these cars before someone gets seriously hurt!

Dealership informwd me after my 100,000 mile warranty was up and paying them 2000 dollars to repair other things that the engine cradel was rusted and was dangerous. They let me drive off the lot and I have been back for other repairs and the rust is getting worse. Chrysler told me there was only a few month period that they would warranty this problem. What can I do since I cannot afford to fix this problem?

We had been on a road trip and were driving home. We were making a stop to get gas and saw smoke coming out from the engine area. We smelt something burning and found that the firewall insulation had fallen down on the catalytic converter and began to burn. We were able to get the insulation pull out and away from the converter before it caused major damage to the vehicle. If we had not stopped there would have been a fire and destroyed the vehicle. We contacted the Chrysler dealership and they said there was no recall and the part was obsolete and they could not do anything for us and also stated that the car was fine and could still be driven. The insulation is there for a reason and this was an unacceptable response from Chrysler. We have still been trying to get resolution from Chrysler and also called their care center and was given the same response that there was nothing they could do. And provided a phone number for a dealership that deals with mopar parts. Again was told that the part was obsolete and not available.

I bought a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica in may of 2016. When I took it to a garage due to a clunking sound in the front end it was discovered that the engine cradle was rusted through on both sides. Many areas under the car are very badly rusted like a car three times as old.

Car in for oil change. Informed front subframe complete rusted through. Not safe to drive. 2005 car only has 22634 miles. Research shows Chrysler aware of this problem and hundreds of complaint/class actions filed. States Chrysler missed step and did not coat engine cradle allowing severe rust damage. Estimate $3181.85 and I want Chrysler to cover charges to fix. Info found says Chrysler only agreed to fix cars built during 2/23/04 - 3/31/04. Can you assist in getting chryster to do the right thing and fix at their own expense?

2005 Chrysler Pacifica I purchased from original owner with only 63000 miles. Car while driving, car just accelerates to high speed on its own for no reason. Have to put it in neutral to avoid death or injury. Today while driving normally, all warning lights came on & we ended up stranded due to weird electrical failure where we can't even get car out of park. Passenger headlamp has gone out several times, now drive fog lamp out. There appears to be many mechanical & electrical failures with this car. It's truly horrifying how poorly engineered and dangerous these cars are & I'm forced to drive this wagon with my family as we can't afford to replace it. Would like to start a class action lawsuit against Chrysler for endangering the public with their dangerous cars. How many people need to die before all these Pacifica's are recalled and repurchased by Chrysler for book value?

Vehicle sub-frame has rusted, engine cradle rusted. Car unsafe to drive. Why has a recall not been issued. I brought vehicle in for an oil change. If not informed by my mechanic the engine and transmission could have fallen out with disasterous consequences. A sub-frame should not rust out on a 10 year old vehicle.

Engine cradle rusted out and I've been told it is unsafe to drive. October 2015 I had my car towed to heritage Chrysler at 9219 harford road -baltimore, md 21234 because it stopped running. I got it back in December 2015 after they put in a timing belt and replaced the engine. A week after getting it back I had a leak. I took it in and they told me that I needed to have a transmission axle seal replaced. I took it to glen burnie transmission to have the seal replaced and they would not do the work. They showed me how the engine cradle had rusted and they were afraid the engine cradle would break if they remove it. I was informed that it was unsafe to drive because I could hit a bump or pothole and loose the engine and transmission. They could not believe heritage Chrysler would put in an engine with the cradle looking like this. I called Mr. Anderson (the service manager at heritage) and have yet to receive a return call back from him. I have the pictures taken of this problem I contacted Chrysler online and was told nothing can be done. Please help me get this problem fixed.

Engine cradle rust. Oil change last week, mechanic said he would not let his wife drive this car. 190,000 miles, mechanically just fine, clean, no body rust. Engine cradle is a rotted, rusted mess. We may try to weld some thick steel to it in an effort to save the car. Nothing to lose at this point, cannot sell it and it's not worth much just sitting.

Driving down the road, our car started throwing itself into other lanes. Mind you, everything is good on the vehicle. Struts, tie rod ends, etc... upon observation, you can see the engine cradle is rotted out. The rest of the car is good. Mechanics say the car needs to be removed from service. 130,000 miles...really? this is our only car. Chrysler (online) says "tough".....

I went to get the 2005 chrystler Pacifica inspected and was told by the mechanic that the bottom was rusted so badly that the engine would fall out, and further that the year make and model was under recall for the same problem, the bottom rusting out horribly. I called chrystler with the VIN # and was told this 1 wasn't part of the recall even though it was the same year and make of the recall. I owe 4,400$ on the car and now am told the repairs would exceed 5,000$. I financed it for 6,455$ at the start. I'm disabled and greatly in need of help, I don't know what to do I have made a slew of calls to no avail at this point and continue to make payments as I don't want to ruin my credit, please help me, I don't know what to do.
