The engine light came on. The car would not accelerate over 25 mph. It kept feeling as if it was stalling when stopped at light and trying to accelerate. Hard to go up inclines. After being parked for 4 hours we noticed the car was smoking. I called the fire department who discovered that the insulation and the engine was smoldering. It is now at excalibur being looked at. I was driving on a city street when this happened. When we discovered the car was smoking, it had been parked for four hours.

Entered the freeway and after reaching speed of approximately 55-60 mph I heard a loud sound that sounded like a small explosion. Someone driving in the lane next to me began frantically pointing at the engine of my car. Immediately I saw smoke and flames coming from underneath the car's hood. I pulled off the exit that I was approaching, parked the car at the curb, jumped out the car, dialed 911. Fire department responded in a couple of minutes and by this time entire engine and hood was on fire.they put the fire out. Car was not able to be placed in neutral or any other gear, but was still towed to the dealership that performed repairs to fuel injectors and other components of the engine on February 2, 2016. During Feb. 2016 incident the gas pedal would not give power to make the car accelerate, car started smoking and giving off fumes that smelled like burning plastic. Car repairs were made in that incident. Going to have diagnostic performed to research if there is a connection/relation between February 2016 incident and June 2016 incident.

My vehicle stalls when remaining still, or if driving it will just shut off. Turning left around a round about it will shut off. Recently when stopped it will idle high then sputter as if it wants to shut off, sometimes it does. I know there has been a recall for vehicles made up to the date November 2004. Mine was manufactured May 2005, should that make a difference even though mine was manufactured one year later and still can have the same problem? just a note, I have young kids in my car. Another problem is the engine, in researching I notices that there have been a lot of complaints about rusting engine mounts or breaking of engine mounts. As may complaints that I have read, I believe that there should be a recall. I have an engine mount that is rusted and worn out. For the safety of all the 900 and something complaints in forums, I believe this should be fixed. I also believe that my 2006 Pacifica should be in the stalling recall notice and be fixed also. One year apart should not be judged in a issues. This happens a lot an many dates, but I can only put one.

My 2006 Chrysler Pacifica keeps sending a message saying gas pump, and then my fuel gauge keeps dropping to E even after I just filled it up. I have replaced the gas cap and I am still getting the message saying something is wrong with the gas cap, and the gauge keeps dropping. I can not tell how much gas I ever have and have to constantly stop after a few days to fill it back up. I took it to oriellys to let them run the code on the vehicle and it said that it was the gas cap, so I replaced the gas cap and they reset the sensor and its still saying the same thing.

About 3 weeks I let my cousin use car. She made it to indy twice from fort wayne, and once back home before I came to get car she stated she had set alarm off and then car wouldn't start. I had it towed and they couldn't find the problem completely but thought fuel pump. Car turns over perfect just won't fire. So fuel pump replace and about week and a half later it's starts to not start up on first ignite. Sometimes it takes me two-three tries then it starts. Also something weird 2 times while pumping gas and leaving car on, the car shuts off as soon as gas starts filling. Today for the 3rd time I started pumping gas and my car shut off but this time wouldn't start. It once again turns over but won't start. I had it towed again!!!! any suggestions? could 2006 cars need reset to on computer

So once again this car is having issues with the fuel pump system. I have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica (86616) and one day when driving my car just stalled out and would not start for quite some time. I took it to a Chrysler dealership here in baytown and was told that the plastic evap line may have broken due to a design flaw of the line being not only too short but also made of a harden plastic that is supposed to be rubber instead. I was luck enough to be by myself but if I had my god daughter in the car with me it would have been worst or I could have been seriously injured. Now Chrysler wants close to $800 to fix the issue when in fact this was a design flaw to begin with from the start. I am highly upset and also scared to drive any Chrysler car because of the piss poor design and want to know what and if Chrysler will even do anything to help me and my mom out.

Rocker arm failure, requiring replacement on both sides. Searched internet and is a known failure with many Pacifica consumers. Responsible car manufacturer should have recalled. Safety hazard primary fuel pump crack on external fuel pump nozzle. External hose connecting primary and secondary fuel pumps original manufacture was ~3-5 cm too short. Hose was stretched to connect fuel pumps, eventually causing the connector nozzle to crack (break) and leak fuel. Hose replacement part has been modified, but owners of original manufacture would never be aware of this until/unless specific service is performed. Result = costly repair to replace both fuel pump and hose.

I was at stopped at signal light in traffic at rush hour. When light turned green to go, I stepped on gas pedal and vehicle started to snorkel and stall. It started jerking and continued to stall then it took off for a bit and started to stall again, then continued to go. My car seats move while I am driving automatically. With my seat belt on sometimes I cant touch the pedals. Also, my car is stalling and it eats oil nonstop. I have had it checked and nothing is shown as wrong. I see there was a recall for this model and it was done so why is this still happening. Seat issue is very dangerous, I have to drive and hold the button forward on the door to stop it from moving.
