Electrical and sensor issues. When my 2018 Pacifica is started in the morning I receive a fcw (front crash warning) after driving approximately one half mile and stopping at a stop light near my house. I have the gas saver on and my van will usually shut off. When I stop at the light, the console will flash fcw when no objects are in front or near me as well as two other censors flashing. The van completely shuts down and then flashes "start stop required". I then have to place the vehicle in park, turn it off, restart it, then shift back to drive all while in at an intersection. This has happened at least 12 times and creates a risk of being rear-ended. Since we purchased the van in August 2018, we have had: The uconnect center replaced on September 7 2018, the radio improperly activated or turned off incorrectly completely draining the battery requiring tow and service on April 12 2019, and the fcw was supposedly repaired on May 21 2019. Although it was "fixed" the fcw alert has occurred 3 times since it was returned less than 3 weeks prior.

Two incidents which happened within 4 months of each other. I have had the car less than 9 months. Most recent was April 3rd, 2019. I was waiting at a traffic light when I went to let my foot off the brake to drive when all of sudden the car stalled. An alert came up on the screen to tell me the there was an issue with the electronic stability control. I had to turn the car off and back on again to get it to drive. I had two small children in the car both times it has happen. It's my only car. It says there is no recall for this. When you google this problem though apparently it's very common with this van and Chrysler has no fix. Many people had this happen to them while the car was in motion. This is extremely concerning & you should demand Chrysler fix this issue please.

We bought the car as a certified used car from a dealership in February, 2019. The car is a 2018, and had 22,000 miles at time of purchase. The car first stalled in late March, 2019. It stalled while at a red light, and cars had to be directed around the car. My child was in the car with me at the time. An error message appeared with something regarding the stability control. Since that first time, the car has stalled at a light 2 more times. We are bringing the car back to the dealer for service. When we called to let the dealer know the issue, they said they've never heard of this happening. I find that hard to believe with so many similar complaints. I am very concerned that this is a known issue that is not being addressed.

My 2018 Chrysler Pacifica car stopped while I was driving. I had slowed down to make a left turn and it shut itself off. It quickly flashed a message about stability control and then showed stop, start, restart required. The car was still in drive. When I tried pressing the brake it was very hard and wouldn't move. I put the car in park and tried shutting it off and restarting it, but couldn't. I had a line of cars behind me, including a school bus and put my hazards on. I'm not sure how many tries it took, but I was finally able to get it to start and drive home. I have since driven the car without incident but I am very nervous that it will happen again. It seems like a huge safety risk.

This complaint is just one of many I've had. Most recently, I've been stalled while waiting at a red light (thankfully) on a city street. I had an error message come on shortly followed by a prompt telling me that start/stop was required. So I had to put the car in park, restart and then car drove. This happened twice in one day and dealer couldn't find anything wrong. Left it has protocol passed all recommended checkpoints and that an engineer has to determine fix.

My vehicle has been in for service at least 4 times for the stalling issue. I am either driving at 24mph or less and it just shuts off. Off. Sometimes im sitting at a light and it shuts off. I have almost been rear-ended 3 times. Police have had to direct traffic aroud me twice. My children are scared to ride in it. The media does not always work. A usb plug doesnt work the one used for car play. The rear sensors do not always work. This van is currently sitting in my garage. Useless to me. I am not putting my kids at risk any longer.

On several recent occasions, our 2018 Pacifica (with ~3K miles on it) has stalled on us at an intersection after an error in regards to stability control. This has happened to both me and my wife while driving, and has nearly caused accidents on multiple occasions. The vehicle message has instructed us to put the vehicle in park and restart, and this has happened to us while in the turning lane facing oncoming traffic. The issue has happened to me as we were slowing down just prior to turning. We have young children, and this is a serious safety concern for us.

On Sunday January 13th while getting off highway lost power steering while taking exit. Due to lack of power steering van went off the road up an embankment and damaged vehicle. I called Chrysler on 1/14/2019 and reported issue. Claim #57836097. I was told that someone from incident reporting team would be contacting me within 4-5 days. I have since called them again on 1/22/2019 and again today 1/28/2019. I have no choice but to drive vehicle because I am a 100% disabled veteran and in a powerchair. The van is customized for my powerchair and my only means of transportation. The power steering keeps going out intermittently and now other electrical issues are occuring now as well. The passenger side window comes down on its own, traction control light on dash goes on and off, stability warning flashes on dash and of course power steering light comes on and says service. Prior to the incident on the highway off ramp the steering went out for a few seconds. I brought it to Bonneville dealer in manchester nh and they told me it was just a fluke. Obviously it was not a fluke and my van is now damaged. Drivers side sliding door does not close right and is bent upwards and not sure what else may be damaged. Waiting on Chrysler for next step.

While driving my 2018 Pacifica in 45 mph traffic on a local road, the car flashed 'stability control' and lost all power. The brakes went hard, the car completely stalled. The display read 'stability control' then disappeared from the screen and it instructed me to put car in park and to restart the car. The second time this happened I was driving 50 mph on a state highway slowing to make a left turn when the vehicle did the exact same thing as stated above.

The first incident occurred when I was in a parking lot. I got into my car and when I went to press the brake and push to start, my brake was locked and my computer started flashing service electronic stability control, park brake unavailable, enter auto-theft code and other numerous error messages. I had to have my car towed to the closest service and they didn't find anything wrong. Yesterday I was in traffic at a stop light and my car dinged, the check engine light came on, and my car said to put it in park and restart (this happened twice at the same light) then the error messages starting flashing (service air bag, service electronic stability control, blind spot alert unavailable, etc) today when I went to start my car the engine did not come on and the same error messages starting flashing as well as the check engine. This became an entirely new concern when this started happening while I'm driving. I have two small children in the car, and I'm pregnant. I just don't feel safe driving and this is our main vehicle, so we don't have much of a choice.

While driving approximately 35 mph, control panel stated "vehicle not in park" and then completely shut down. I had to coast into a parking lot. I put the vehicle in park and van restarted immediately. However, when I put the van into D (drive) the car reversed! I immediately braked and then preceded to drive forward. The "vehicle is not in park" has happened approximately 3 other times while driving but the engine never stopped. This is the 2nd time my vehicle has stalled while driving. It looses all power!!! the first time it was in the dealership, they could not detect any issues. It was very similar except the panel stated "vehicle is not in drive". this should not be happening to a brand new car! this is a safety issue and recalls should be placed as I have seen several other vehicles with similar problems. I have 3 small children and luckily they were not with me.

The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, which was a trade-in of another 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. Within months of owning the vehicle, the electronic stability control warning indicator illuminated, which was the same failure experienced from the previously traded-in 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. The dealer (eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, 4007 boston rd, bronx, NY 10466, (718) 547-5500) was contacted and a diagnostic appointment was scheduled. The manufacturer was not contacted. The VIN and failure mileage were not available.

Bought vehicle on March 5, 2018, on the 2 hr drive home the cars main front center console starts rebooting and resetting over and over, the car then yanks us hard to the right and as I fight the driver assist mode to actually stay on the road, my husband and myself was plenty scared. We got the driver assist disabled, the heat was unable to be turned down, the steering wheel was so hot we had to put on gloves, the seat heat could not be shut down, we were with windows open in the snow, we had no choice. We attempted to restart the car, same functional issue. Contacted dealership following morning, informing them they said get in in right away, we took to local Chrysler on May 6th and they found nothing. They didn't believe us either. Happens again immediately the day after being there, again we took it in, they wanted it to continue when we pulled in we were told, I said it keeps taking us off the road. The 3rd time was the same only we almost side swiped another van by the skin of our teeth. Lucky we pulled hard and saved ourselves. It has now been at Chrysler repair more than 5-6 times same exact problem, their same exact excuses, no fix. Dealership where we purchased suggested we begin lemon law on it. I agree, I don't want to be the crash dummy. Chrysler has been notified online, they were insistent it can be fixed, its been a month, and they have had the car more than us, and they have put 1000 miles on it too, where as we barely got 450 with ride home. I have made first payment and have a rental now, a junkie one! please help us, this car is dangerous, and will cause a serious fatality the way it steers off suddenly. It is a catastrophe waiting to happen. On board computers fail on and off.
