Was using park assist and the car did not park itself correctly and hit another car. While using park assist feature the car started to move too fast and the sterling wheel did not turn the car correctly. The car was moving so fast, there was no time to press the brake. In the result our car hit another parked car and jumped on the curb. In the result our rear bumper and rear door were damaged. We contacted Chrysler right away to tell what had happened, the representative told us to contact our insurance and then insurance will do investigation. When we contacted our insurance the representative said that Chrysler is the one who does the investigation. After that Chrysler was contacted by us numerous times, each time different representative, each time some information was missing from the case that investigation team could not start to do their investigation. So, each time I spoke with the representative (I have their names) we were adding missing information, and creating new case number. It took almost a month for the investigator to contact us to do the car inspection. By this time the car was fixed thru insurance. After the inspection took place Chrysler did not send us any solution or suggestion if park assist needs to be fixed. The only letter they send stating that since the car was fixed nothing they can do about this issue. So its unclear either all features in this car function properly. I think it's not fair that my insurance had to pay and made this accident as my fault

The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. When the contact pulled into a parking space, the brakes did not stop the vehicle and the gear did not shift into park. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a wall. The contact had to pump the brake pedal a couple of times until the vehicle stopped. The contact sustained a minor injury that did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was damaged and driven to Suburban Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of garden city (734-421-5700, located at 32850 Ford rd, garden city, mi 48135), but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The dealer suggested that the contact might have depressed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake pedal. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

I called the dealer regarding another issue with my vehicle. I was told that there are 2 open recalls and had to wait 2 months to get the service appointment. The recalls are for a manual park release and the cruise control. This is very alarming and very dangerous. I called Chrysler corporation and was told that there is nothing that I can do and need to wait the 2 months. This vehicle is a hazard to the road! I do not feel comfortable driving an unsafe vehicle for 2 months!

My wife and I just purchased the Pacifica and decided to take a road trip from Arizona to Oregon. While traveling through the hills and mountains the transmission would not shift properly to maintain highway speeds! there was a lot of lag time from the drivers input between the transmission and engine to respond. Also the cruise control would engage suddenly and speed up. Took to the dealership and the tech said the vehicle software was engineered that way and he couldn't do anything for us.

The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18V332000 (electrical system, vehicle speed control). The vehicle was taken to ken nelson Chrysler Cadillac Buick GMC (1100 N galena ave, dixon, il 61021, 815-288-4455) where the recall was repaired. Two months later, while driving approximately 65 mph with the cruise control activated, the vehicle accelerated to 85 mph. An alarm went off and the "over 75 mph" warning indicator illuminated. The contact depressed the brake pedal and disengaged the cruise control. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure was not diagnosed. The failure mileage was approximately 6,900.

July 28, 2018 7:20pm: Stopped the car at crosswalk for pedestrians. While car was stationary with my foot on the brake, the engine started to race with increasing force. Fearing that I could not hold it back with the brake, I reached over and shifted the car into neutral, which remedied the situation. Notes: 1) the cruise control was not engaged at the time. 2) the auto stop/start was not engaged (I.e. the blue light was on). This is not the first time that this has happened. July 13, 2018 12:15pm at disney world: I was traveling down an incline toward a stop sign. As I applied my foot on the brake, the engine began to race with increasing force, despite my foot on the brake. As there was no traffic coming, I simply took my foot off of the brake and proceeded through the intersection. The situation seemed to remedy itself. Notes: 1) the cruise control was not engaged at the time. 2) the auto stop/start was not engaged (I.e. the blue light was on). Neither of these events appear to be associated with Chrysler's U64 or U50 recalls, as neither the cruise control nor manual park release were engaged. However, it should be noted that the auto stop/start was not engaged in both situations. Additional observations: On numerous past occasions, when the car did have the auto stop/start feature engaged (I.e. blue light off), the car would "buck" while going through an intersection (I.e. it would slam into gear). This is one of the reasons why we now disable the auto stop/start. I had just purchased this car and was driving away from the dealer. About a mile down the road I was slowing down and started to put on the brakes when I had an uncontrolled acceleration event. (it felt like someone had just stepped on the accelerator). I had to slam hard on the brakes and just avoided hitting the car in front of me. I know this was caused probably by the computer but I know it wasn't me. My foot was only on the brake. I know this feeling well since I used to have a 2004 prius where this happened to me many times.
