My wife experienced an electric shock from the driver seat when she started the engine and the electric shocks continued while the engine was running. The electric shock was severe, causing pain and forcing her to get out of the seat, and continued while she sat in the seat. In order to drive the vehicle she had to insulate herself with cardboard which appear to muffle the shocks so she can drive the van home. While driving with the children to go home we were traveling at 25 mph and all of the sudden the horn was blaring then the windshields (front and back) start going and next windshield wiper fluid is pouring out non stop. I'm checking the controls and they are all on off. I pull over and turn the car off and take the keys out and the van still continues to have a fit. Time passes and it stops. We sit on the side with keys out of the car for about a half hour and the van continues to random spurts. I notice the lock on the open door is still in lock position, I press the key control for unlock and wiper fluid comes out. I wait longer and call the dealership. After 20 more minutes I start car. I turn off radio and drive home (5 min drive).

I have had several problems with the 2008 Chrysler minivan. Electrical, engine, ignition, etc. I even had the one door not have the sensor go off and pinch my one twins leg into the door! over the years, the ignition switch pops over and stops the car completely while driving at intermittent times. I could be going 20 miles an hour or on the highway driving at a higher rate of speed. The whole van shuts down so if you are on the highway, you can barely steer to get over (and thankfully I have been able to do so). I received a recall notice in June. It is November and my van still isn't fixed. The dealership and Chrysler know that I am having the issue and have had it. I have called and voiced my complaints. I am "number 5" in line to get the part! so, what will Chrysler do when I get rear ended or injured when my vehicle fails to operate. The van shuts off at least once a week while I am driving it. If I didn't have full, lifetime warranty, this van would have been traded in the year after I purchased it. It has been nothing but problems since I have owned it. Chrysler is not doing its job to keep people safe. They have not taken my issue seriously and brush it off as not a big deal. I have a van because I have kids. I would think that safety would be of utmost importance but it falls on deaf ears.

I am still waiting on parts for this recall that was issued in 2011 and its almost 2015 and now my entire keyfob cannot be removed from the fobik as it is stuck in (acc) mode and Chrysler is trying to charge me $600 for a replacement. Upon starting your vehicle (VIN: Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), the frequency operated button ignition key (fobik), may not fully seat in the "on" position. If not fully seated, under certain operating conditions (for example bumpy roads) the fobik could inadvertently move to the "accessory" mode. This could cause unintended engine shut off and increase the risk of a crash under certain driving conditions. What your dealer will do... Chrysler will repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will inspect the win module and install a secondary fobik detent system if required. The work will take about hour to complete. However, additional time may be necessary depending on service schedules. What you must do to ensure your safety... parts to complete this recall will be available in dealerships on July 15, 2011. At that time, contact your Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge dealer to schedule a service appointment. Ask the dealer to hold the parts for your vehicle or to order them before your appointment. Please bring this letter with you to your dealer. Until this repair is completed, the vehicle can be driven. However, as a precaution, all drivers are advised to remove all objects from the fobik (such as additional keys, key chains, etc.) and ensure that the fobik is securely and correctly aligned in the "on? position and not aligned between the ?on? and ?accessory" position before driving the vehicle. I am filing a complaint against Chrysler's inability to correct their recall L-25. I was told that these parts will not be available until February 2015. My vehicle has experienced a problem with the ignition as the recall file states, shutting off at times and even not starting again due to improper ignition alignment. I feel like this is a very dangerous issue for myself and my family. We feel this vehicle is unsafe to drive as it is and at times is undriveable due to not being able to start it. I was given a quote from a Chrysler dealership of $340 plus labor to resolve the issue since the actual recall part is unavailable, though they could not guarantee that I would be reimbursed by Chrysler. It feels like Chrysler is forcing their drivers to take care of their recall matter at the customers own risk and out of their own pocket. I cannot believe that anyone is allowing this company to make us wait on such a recall, especially those of us encountering the problem and cannot use the vehicle. I feel that there should be an approval sent to the customers and dealerships to where they can get these unsafe vehicles fixed, now, with the wind module kit, rather than putting us and others at further risk and lives possibly being taken. I hope this matter can be resolved very soon. This is my only vehicle and I cannot wait days nor months, till February, for Chrysler to help.
