The car was warming up, in park, while I got my husband into the passenger side. Moments later, our dr appointment was canceled so I told my husband to turn the car engine off and give me the keys so I could get him back into the house without having to go to the driver's side. When he turned the engine off and handed me the keys, the car jumped into reverse. With the passenger door opened I tried physically to stop it. My fingers became impaled in a 4X4 post. My husband pushed the shifter straight up into park and the car stopped. I had my phone in my pocket and called a neighbor to back the car up to release my fingers. I needed 13 stitches between two fingers. I can't remember the exact date in Jan 2013 so had to fill in an incorrect day number so that the form would accept the year and month. My husband was in a wheelchair at the time and life was hard. However, I called the dealership in salisbury, md where the car had been purchased and told them what happened. I am sure they never reported this and now that I have found this form, I decided to make an official report. I have also had numerous electrical problems with my car that the dealership could never find. They finally found a short but it was not until my car was acting crazily by the time I got it to the dealership. I don't know what failed so I put down electrical because I have had nothing but problems with the electrical system from the sliding doors found open upon my return to the windshield wipers going on and the car dashboard lighting up and slowing down--that is when the dealership finally found a short. After that, I became paranoid and the back seats wouldn't go into the stow position but it was because I had some trash that I couldn't see that obstructed the seats from going into the stow position.

Our 2010 Chrysler Town and country only has 55,444 miles and was making a buzzing/humming noise. So we took it to two different mechanics and was told that the transmission differential bearings need to be replaced/rebuilt. Called Chrysler twice and got no help at all. Also called and went to Nissan of denville NJ, the dealer that we got it from 17 months ago and also got no help at all.

While driving and coming to a slow down and then accelerating again, the transmission jolted. I thought I did something wrong, so let it go a few hours later, the transmission did it again, I contacted the dealer immediately. They said bring it in now so I did they could not duplicate a problem, I was sent on my way. As I leave the dealer it started again this time as I called the dealer I was told make an appointment, so I did, like a month later when they had an opening, they were able to once again look at the vehicles transmission then they said after 4 hours we were able to duplicate the problem and fixed the issue we had to perform a PCM-software update, and it is now working fine the way it should be. I once again gained the same problem and had to bring it back 3 more times for them to only say we can not duplicate the problem, I till today have the same problem they refuse to fix it or ever say their is a problem.however they did admit there was a problem. My warranty is set to expire and they still tell me no problem exists, I wonder what they will tell me as soon as the warranty expires, most likely hay we found a problem and it will cost a rebuild.

One day as I was backing up into my driveway, I noticed a click sound. So I turned the wheel again and everytime I turn the wheel to the left side, I am able to hear a click this is with the vehicle in park and just turning the wheel, normally when you hear a clicking while turning and driving it can be a defective cv axle I have no clue what the problem is, but once again I am told that a diagnostic fee will be needed. I told them this should be covered under the powertrain warranty, they claim I am not sure but if we look and it is not you will be charged a diagnostic fee, tell me how the hell this is fair another words they are telling me I am going to rob you but if you don't come here you will be ok. This dealer located at levittown NY Chrysler was even in the news a few years back when the A/G fined them for scamming customers are they doing it again" my warranty expires soon on the powertrain then what"

Driving at about 30mph and there was a complete shut down of engine. Had to put transmission in park and restart. It has happened two other times 2nd on June 4th same thing occurred. 3rd incident occurred today June 22 2014. Must have this looked at and repaired! have had it in and have talked to Chrysler service center and am told there is nothing to be done no recall and they need to have it happen when they have vehicle. That is almost not going to happen. Has not happened that often, but when it does it is very dangerous. Especially when I have grandchildren in vehicle with me.

2010 Chrysler Town and country my wife and I have been driving vehicle and multiple times over the last 6 months the vehicle stalls without warning. On one instance my wife was turning at an intersection when the car shut off unexpectedly and when this occurred the power steering stopped working and my wife nearly rolled into oncoming traffic. On another instance the vehicle stalled on me traveling down the freeway and I had to put the vehicle in neutral and start it again, when I did this it seemed like the car had to turn over for a few seconds before it would start up. We have 3 children and this is a very disturbing issue as it relates to safety. I would like to see Chrysler internal issue tracking on these items during launch of the vehicle because I have a relative a few years back who had a very similar issue with the Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee he owned. It seems to me that this is a bigger system issue with Chrysler as a whole. In addition to this safety I have multiple nuisance issues with my vehicle from door locks that buzz, sliding door seals that are cut up as a result of improper installation of door, window edge seals that appear to have been too long but installed anyway and air leak sound result from poor workmanship, rear power door that has stopped working.

When I downshift from drive at any speed, it will not upshift without moving into neutral and then into drive. This move is distracting and possibly dangerous. The dealer in watsonville claims that it is not covered under the 100K warranty because it is not part of the drive train. They say that the shifter has to be replace to the tune of $600. I do not believe them due to some other reapairs that were not handled in a pleasing manner.

My Chrysler Town and country 2010 van cuts off while I am driving it!!!! this has now happened 8 times! once while I was driving at 55mph!! another time I was pulling out onto the highway when my 2010 Town and country van died! cars in two lanes were blaring their horns and had to swerve off the road to keep from hitting me! I took it to the Chrysler dealer where it stayed for 13 days. They could not figure out the problem but replaced the computer(PCM). Less than 48 hours later it had happened 2 more times! I returned it to the dealership where it remains now. Chrysler has given me a case number and I am hoping for answers soon. They have refused to rent me a car thus far. I cannot seem to get Chrysler to understand (or care) how dangerous this is. I don't want to die just so my husband can sue them! help

Transmission not shifting properly, Chrysler performed a re-flash and update to powertrain, however problem still exists this problem started the next day of purchase. Brakes worn down in rear when driving 55mph and applying the brake the entire vehicle would vibrate Chrysler found out of round surface and cut rotors, problem still exists. The power sliding doors become inoperable Chrysler performed a re-flash update problems still exists. Radio rer stops playing dvd's Chrysler performed a re-flash problem still exists. This is brand new why all these problems" why was I sold a lemon". all these problems I went back to the dealer at least three times for especially the transmission I almost got into an accident because when I was merging onto the parkway when I tried to accelerate it failed to move.

2010 Chrysler Town and country van stalls frequently causing complete loss of power, including steering. This occurs at different times, immediately upon starting vehicle, during acceleration, during turns, going straight, and also when decelerating. Basically it occurs when less expect it causing a great safety risk. Dealership says that can't fix the problem B/C they can't duplicate it. However, today it stalled on major road just as I got off interstate and I was able to coast it up right in front of their dealership. Called and asked for service manager to come out and see for himself. They insisted I must restart it and bring it into shop only to then be told they will have to get it to stall again to hook up machine (which can't leave garage) to diagnose problem. They then agreed they should have left it stalled and pushed it in. Very frustrating for a new vehicle. If they can not fix this time will pursue my rights under the lemon law. Very dangerous!
