Chrysler is aware and the acts like this is a new issue and my fault. TIPM issues cost over $400. And this fix is a temp job for a 20 dollar part (that's worth $5 at best) - My TIPM was treated the same as RECALLED TIPM, Yet I had to pay or be without a car until this issue is resolved. It seems illegal to charge over $400 for replacing a simple fix with parts costing less than $25.

It is absolutely appalling that a great company that I have had faith in for a long time would not fix a problem like this that has happened obviously on numerous occasions. This is not the way to treat your LOYAL customers.

Just purchase a used 2011 T&C , remote start and key less start, this morning my prego wife try to take my daughter to their camp , and car won't start , no error message , no battery problem indication , strangely enough , the accessory power was stayed on even when we try to lock it .
after about 30 minutes of trying with no result , the car was suddenly turned on.
Read in forums , seem to be a symptom of the TIPM issue

I was very concerned about the problems my car was going through. Vehicle would not start. When I would get it to finally start (after trying several times), the vehicle would start, but would shake.

I had the fuel pump and spark plugs replaced thinking this would fix the problem only to find the engine will not turn over or start. I spent a good amount of money for labor and parts. Warranty ran out several months ago and I'm SOL since this vehicle was our primary car to commute and shuttle four young children to school and other functions.
Chrysler needs to own up to their poor design, faulty parts and recall their products immediately. I have owned several Dodge vehicles and have never had so many problems as I am currently having with this Chrysler, it might be time to start shopping for a Honda or Toyota. Hard to say that when I have been loyal for so many years.

Problem just occurred, believed to be TIPM failure but could be an alternator issue. I will update.
The symptoms: the RPMs go up to 3500 when driving over 20mph, all electric system alert lights (ABS, traction control, park assist, emergency brake, etc) light up, and the windshield wipers randomly turn on. The van will start sometimes, but after idling for a few minutes (and RPMs are normal), the emergency/parking brake light comes on and the vehicle can't be put into drive.
I'm having it towed today to a non-dealer mechanic.
FYI this van has been pretty much horrible since day one. The dealership has also been a nightmare. There have been two recalls on this van already, an ongoing 'wheel' issue, and there's a pending third recall on the TIPM.
Update from Apr 23, 2015: It was the alternator. Chrysler wanted $100+ to do a diagnostic and then said the alternator, if that's the problem, would be $500. I went to a local mechanic. I found a local mechanic that got a used alternator for $150. I saved the old one and was told to hang on to it in case the pending recall is OK'd in Pennsylvania.

I'm a mechanic. Wife called me in the morning trying to take the kids to school and the car wouldn't start. Check fuel pressure. It was 0. After trying for about 3 hours to make it run, it started. For the next two weeks or so it would start when it wanted. Brought the van to Arrigo Sawgrass. They told me all about the problems they have been having with TIPM's. And they also told me that even thought TIPM's have been failing everywhere, they were not covering the failure under warranty. Find it hard to believe I had to pay over 1000 dollars for this reoccurring failure.

Started with key fobs not working next was the air bag light going off and on and now it won even start.
Thanks Chrysler, I put my wife and kids life in your hands and you can't even make a recall for a problem that could have killed them.
BULL CRAP
You will be getting my truck and van back.
