Vehicle will not properly start reliably. On many occasions the vehicle will start after a third or fourth attempt. The main concern was that the vehicle stalled as it entered (vehicle was in motion) a busy street. Power steering went out. After coming to a stop the vehicle was restarted by pressing the ignition button. No diagnostics codes were reported when checked at a local repair shop. I asked them to test the tipm and fuel pump relay, and they were able to confirm the issue.

This is my 7th Chrysler or Dodge minivan - and I love them. I searched for 6 months to find the model/color/features I wanted before finding this particular vehicle. I was thrilled that it had all the options I wanted - highest on my list is the 'blind spot sensors' as I do a lot of highway driving with kids in the car on busy Michigan highways. A few weeks ago the sensors would 'stick' on, but after restarting the van it they would work properly for a while, and then 'stick' on again. Now they are always on - making an extremely expensive safety feature option useless as I have had to turn them off to stop the constant chiming and for the sensor lights in my side-view mirrors to be off. I have looked all over the internet and apparently this is an extremely common issue. Where can I get serious safety this issue fixed? as it is apparently some design flaw I do not believe* should be responsible for paying for these repairs and if it cannot be fixed I should be reimbursed the sticker cost of this feature as it cannot be used!

Car would crank but not turn over. Brought to dealer and they replaced alternator. Problem persisted, they replace battery. Problem worsened, random electrical issues when driving, car cutting off and stalling in intersections, still not turning over intermittently when parked. Was told my tipm module is bad. Apparently Chrysler is aware of the issue and is only replacing in some cars, but not all. It was very scary when the car was stalling while driving then not starting. Also was stranded on vacation due to car not turning over.

Alternator went out at 86K. Known issue with exact same part # on other Chrysler products have been recalled. Van is in the shop now getting a $480 replacement installed plus 1.2 hours of labor for a part that if on another vehicle would be covered under an existing recall.

While driving down the interstate at approximately 70mph my van completely lost power and the engine shut off. This created an extremely dangerous situation to me and my family. If I had not have been in the lane closest to the shoulder the end results would not have been in our favor. I believe that it may be the egnition switch or something electrical related.

We recently purchased our van and were very excited to get our second Town and country. We really liked the idea of having the blind spot detection system. A few weeks into owning the van we started getting a warning about the blind spot system not being available intermittently. Now as soon as you start the vehicle it states it is not available and leaves the triangles lit in the mirrors. From other posts I have read this seems to be a common problem. Since this is a safety feature I hope that Chrysler is swift to get this recalled so we can have it taken care of.

Chrysler Town and country would not start. I put the key in the ignition, turned it on, the van would not start however windows would roll down and radio would play. Replaced the battery and issue remained. Would stop to get gas a D when. I got back in the van it would not start. This happened several times. One minute it ran just fine and next thing you know it wouldn't start. Leaving me stranded with my 3 kids numerous times. Took it to a dealership and had to pay to replace the tipm. Now there are issues with the rear ac. It works when it wants to. Some days it works just fine and other days it doesnt. It is currently in the shop to have this issue resolved. I have videos of exactly what happened at the gas stations when we were stranded. The video shows my husband putting the key in and the car not starting.

I recently purchased a used 2012 (09/11 production date) Chrysler town 7 country touring, van, it had 063,200.0 miles when received. Purchased from a honest and reputable local used car dealer. (it was a new car trade in from a dealer 45 miles away) after driving the van for aprox. 300 miles the air bag light in the dash came on and would not reset or go out. The dealer tried to clear the code but could not. They determined that it was something related to the drivers seat. At their recommendation I took the van to the local Chrysler/Jeep/Ram dealer to be checked. The dealer charged $95 to check it and said that there is a short in the drivers head rest which is non-repairable and will cost $725 (plus the $95 charge) to replace the head rest. This safety system failure is not covered by the factory after the 36/36 is expired. I called the Chrysler factory information line and was again told that this safety system failure is not covered by Chrysler. In researching this issue I have seen that Chrysler has had at least 840,000 recalls involving head rests. How can I get Chrysler to repair this serious problem. The dealer and Chrysler said that the SRS/air bags will not work if the light is on. This means I have no air bag function should I be involved in an accident. I am very concerned and feel that a serious safety system failure like this should be a factory covered repair for at least 150,000 miles. I have been denied the repair by Chrysler, regardless of the potential for serious injury or death if involved in an accident when the SRS system will not work. I am a disabled veteran and need this van for transportation.

I got into a car accident hit from side my car sustained over 5,000 of damage my children and I were in the car at the time the airbags did not deploy. I reported this to Chrysler they just advised me to go to dealer to have airbags checked. Never offered to do any further inquiry. Currently, my van starts at times and at others does not my new battery which was costly continues to be drained I called Chrysler they said it would cost 145. Just to diagnose the problem I don't have that kind of money available to check the car I said to the service dept. "you know these vans are experiencing these problems yet you still charge me so much to have a known problem checked"" they said yes do you want to make an apt." Of course I did not.

Recall notice P25/NHTSA 14V-234. Rear quarter vent window switch. I was first notified of this in September 2014. On 26 September 2014, Chrysler dealer demontrond disconnected the switch and told me I would be notified to return to have the replacement switch installed. Since then I have called demontrond on 09 January 2015, 24 August 2015 and 14 March 2016 to expedite, and each time I'm told Chrysler haven't shipped the replacement switch to them! this is not good enough!
