After purchasing my vehicle I took it for a short drive on the highway. I was speeding up to 35-40 mph when the car stalled. The car started and I decided that I better take it home. I started the car, turned around on the highway and while I was driving, it stalled again. It stalled several more times on the way home, I was never able to drive more than 45mph before it would sta... several days later I decided to try to drive it again. It made it two miles out of town (going 65mph) before it started stalling again. It took me over an hour to make it home because the car would start, drive for about 3 feet and stall again. The next day the dealer I purchased it from towed it to their shop and they "reset" the computer. It drove fine for two days before stalling again while I was driving down a city street going 45mph. I had to pull off the road. I was able to restart the car several minutes later and drive it the last 1/4 of a mile to work. Now I am at work wondering if I will make it safely home. I live an hour from work.

The heater blows cold air in the passenger area of the car and warm air on the driver's side. The car never warms up enough to defrost the windows in winter. The cause is sand and metal shavings left in the engine block during manufacturing of the engine. The sand and metal shavings make their way into the heater core and radiator by about $50000 miles or so. This is the cause of the heating issue because the bottom of the heater core plugs and the radiator also to an extent. This should be a recall by Dodge for sure. Please help us from the high cost of the dealers $1300 charge to change the heater core and or radiator. From a discontent Dodge owner

My car's engine stalls and shuts off while in the middle of acceleration or even while at idle. The dealership cannot find any issues as to why it would stop running and I am extremely afraid to drive the car for fear I will have an accident. When the engine stalls, the power steering stops working and it is hard to steer the car to a safe spot.

While on the freeway, my check engine light went on and right away my car stalled while in motion going about 70mph. Luckily I was able to get to the shoulder and turned off my car then turned it back on and was able to get safely home. When I went down the street to check to see if it worked, it stalled on me again.

I was driving down the autobahn at about 45 mph when the electronic throttle control light began flashing and the car lost all power. I had to let the car roll to the side of the street to avoid getting hit by other vehicles and there I tried to start the car and it would not start. The car had shut off before without any warning, but it started back up without any issues. I had the car towed to a mechanical shop and they hooked it up to a diagnostic computer with the code for camshaft sensor. We replaced the camshaft sensor and still no luck. Took it to a Dodge dealership and they said the engine needed to be replaced. We did not replace the engine because it would cost $8000. The car still only cranks, but does not start and the etc light is still on.

After being stopped in traffic for a few minutes I released the brake to accelerate, the car began to sputter and stalled immediately afterwards. I then put the car in park, turned it off and it restarted with no problems. It has done this once a week for the last three weeks. The check engine light has not come on at any point. I ran a diagnostic with the obd2 and it produces no codes.

While driving to work today I lost all power and noticed a red lighting bolt on the dash. I would try to accelerate but could not going more then 1600 RPM's. I pulled over and killed the engine. When I started it I was able to drive for about 1 minute and it happened again. I was able to get home and later found out the lighting bolt was the electronic control throttle body. I called the dealer and they want $550 to install it or $330 for a new part. Reading forums I seen that many people have this issue and need to replace the entire throttle body because there are little plastic gears that get stripped. I found a place on line for $180 and will replace it but I think it is disappointing that I am replacing this part when I only have 60K miles on it.

I purchased this vehicle brand new in 2011. Since 2011 it has stalled out on me 4 times when I am at low speeds or when accelerating when a red light turns green. One of the stalls it happened as I was making a uturn and a car nearly hit me while I was trying to restart the car. I have taken the vehicle in several times to the dealer and each time they find nothing wrong with the car. This situation is exactly as described by another complaint on this website. I have noticed the car has a very slight surge at idle or at a light when the ac is running and mentioned this to the techs but they stated its normal. Doesn't seem normal to me as the car didn't do it when purchased and now it randomly stalls. They did flash the onboard computer but this has not fixed the problem. Guess it will take a serious accident before the dealer or Dodge believes there is a issue.

Driving on hilly road at about 60 mph car begins to studder and jerk. It smooths out on acceleration then repeats symptoms each time car travels around 60 mph. The symptoms go away after car is turned off then restart later in the drive.the symptoms now occurr on level roads also. Now in addition to the above symptoms, the car is stalling at low speeds of around 15 mph or less. It will start back up normally, but may stall again or not. It will often run erratically after this, a symptom often called 'missing', but no cylinder misfire code is set.
