Window defrost and passenger heat /air. While either in motion or while driving, no heated air exits the passenger side of the windshield defroster, nor the passenger window defrost, lower and center console vents. Heated air only exits the driver's side windshield and driver's side dash vents. Problem persists through all cabin air modes, and circulations. This safety issue effects visibility and passenger safety by failing to defrost/defog windows and keeping cabin temperatures near or below freezing during cold weather (blowing cold air into the cabin).

Theres a clicking sound when you use heat or ac unit. Clicking since we got car 7/2016. Sometimes whens ignition is off it still does it. Sometimes my front passenger window won't work, then all of a sudden it starts working again. Happened twice in November 2018. Was parked and started driving. While later window went up. Also I've never received any recall notices. Got car July 2016 in Kentucky. Now live at 8974 lowmiller rd minerva, Ohio 44657. How do I know what all recalls there is" will I have to pay these recalls to be fixed" thank you for your time.

Heater will only blow cold air. At first the heater would blow hot air on only the driver side. I took my car to the Dodge dealership in Jan 2018 to fix. They flushed the system and replaced the door actuators. After this it blew warm air on the passenger side but only lasted for a few weeks. The car will now only blow cold air on both sides. I took my car back to the Dodge dealership recently and they're now saying we'll need to replace the radiator, radiator cap, reservoir, engine oil cooler, thermostat, and heater core which will cost me $2700. Nothing was done wrong on my side and this is simply a manufacture defect as the dealership has told me this happens all the time with Avengers and there're hundreds of people online in forums saying the exact same thing happened to their Dodge Avenger. My car has only 81K miles and has been well taken care of. Chrysler refuses to acknowledge this as a defect when they need to step up and do a recall. I paid over $200 in Jan 2018 for flushing the system and door actuators. I paid $103.96 today for the diagnosis. They quoted me $2700 for replacing the parts mentioned above. That work hasn't been done yet.

HVAC system has problems. Driver side blows hot air but passenger side blows cold air. There is a lot of clicking behind the glove box. I have replaced the actuator once already. It did not fix the heat and cold issue. The passenger side blowing cold air causes the windshield to fog up and the passenger window to fog up. Becomes a safety hazard to drive. This happens while driving in town, on the highway, everywhere.

Purchased car with 61,000 miles and right when I picked up car noticed that passengers side air was cold and drivers side was hot. Also when adjusting airflow from vent, defrost, floor, floor/vent it does not correctly have the air come out at the selected location. This is a problem happening with the Dodge Avenger and there is no answer out there saying why this is happening to all year not just one year of the Dodge Avenger. Dodge knows this is a recall item but will not admit they have this problem and assist there customers. There are various ideas out there saying why it is happening but as people try those solutions the problem is not fixed or it comes right back. Dodge needs to make this a recall it is costing customers thousands of dollars and know one know what to do to fix 100% including Dodge dealers. Please help and get this issue to be a recall. The owner before me had this problem and could not get it corrected as I found out and that is why they got rid of it as I look more into the problem.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Avenger. While driving 35 mph, the contact noticed that no heat was coming from the passenger side heater. The vehicle was driven to larry H. miller Dodge Ram sandy (10985 S auto mall dr, sandy, ut 84070) where it was diagnosed that the radiator needed to be flushed several times and the oil heater needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that a service bulletin was issued for this failure. However, because the vehicle exceeded the three year mark, nothing could be done. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 64,000.

The A/C / heater blows hot air on driver side and cold air on passenger side. Difficult to defrost windshield. Replaced the blend door actuator behind glove box. This only fixed the clicking noise. Problem still exists.

It doesn't matter if the car is moving or if it is stationary, there is only warm air on the drivers side and there is cold air blowing out on the passenger side. Only the drivers half of my windshield will defrost. I have replaced the actuator twice and it does not help. The clicking under the dashboard not only returns, but the heat (or lack-there-of) is not affected. It still only blows warm air on the drivers side of the car. The defrost only works on the drivers side of the car. I understand there are many complaints of this happening to Avengers across the board, no matter the model type. All due it looks like to casting and sand issues. After flushing the car multiple times, there has been no change. Replaced the heater core/thermostat ($850) and the heat worked for about a week then started blowing cold air again. I took it back and they replaced the heater control panel. ($275). Cold air again......... there needs to be a recall of something to fix this issue. Nothing is working and it's only costing a whole bunch of money.
