Air bag light has come on and will not go off. Consumer has taken vehicle to local dealership, and they informed him that defective component was clock spring. The horn and the cruise control failed as well.

After contacting the dealer about the airbag light being on and describing the symptoms I was told it was going to be the clockspring. The service department acknowledged this is a common failure in the Caravan but refused to warrant it as veh out of manufacturers warranty. Contacted daimler-Chrysler customer service and they acknowledged the problem is widespread but no recall issued and they are unwilling to reimburse me at this time.

The next day I saw an article in the paper about the problem and upon checking the horn and cruise control, discovered they did not work either. I took the article to the dealer but they said the item was not under recall and would cost $210 to repair. I'll wait for you to issue the recall!
