I have had issues since the day I bought the car. I have 26,000 miles and am on my third set of tires. The dealer tells me that they do not feel anything is wrong yet the tires keep wearing out and one recently had a bulge, I complained of a whirling sound and they told me it was the tires, I replaced the tires and it is still there. I keep taking the car in and it is one excuse after another. I report the issues to Dodge and they tell me to go to the dealer. A mechanic at the dealer told me that the car runs like a tractor trailer, it is idling at 2,000 RPM in park when it should be 900 or less and it sounds like there is an issue in the rear end and engine mount issues. I'm afraid the car will fall apart while I'm driving it. I need someone to help me get Dodge to figure out what the issues are. They had the audacity to tell me my driving habits are the reason I need tires every 10,000 miles. I have a camaro that I drive like a bat out of hell and got my first set of tires at 50,000 miles. Something is wrong with this car and no one at Dodge will help. Will it take me getting killed for someone to do something??

The problem with the vehicle is that the clutch pedal goes straight to the floor and stays there, the only way to get it to the up position is to reach down or use your foot. The master cylinder of the brake system was below the minimum line. No brake warning light or any other warning/caution. The clutch went to the floor. The incident happened I was on a 7 lane city street during rush hour traffic I was driving and everything was normal. I was the first vehicle in line when I try to start going the clutch felt like it was slipping in first gear which is highly unusual for my vehicle because first gear has always been very touchy.. shift to second gear in the clutch once again was slipping and the engine reved the vehicle did not accelerate properly. I was able to get it to go and I made it to the next traffic light. I was the second car from the intersection. When the light turned green I released the clutch and the gear engaged imeadiatly with the gear in first, the vehicle lurched forward and kept doing that about three times until the vehicle stalled out. Pushing in the clutch pedal did nothing it's stay stuck to the floor. In the mirror I see that the vehicle behind me almost ran into me and almost caused a huge pile up behind me because of the hesitation of my vehicle I was not able to move the vehicle out of the lane without help from a fellow citizen that was dangerous in itself. Once I got the vehicle to a safe place pushing it I checked under the hood and I see that the brake fluid reservoir on the master cylinder was empty. I check the fluids in my vehicle at least twice a week. Where did all that fluid go? I have been without my vehicle for a week or two now due to trying to figure out what to do because the car has 40, 000 miles on it so its out of warranty.

When I go to put the car in park to turn it off to get out of it, it tells me it isn't in park so I have to put it back in drive and slam the shifter as hard as I can into park to make it go into park and unless the car is in park it won't shut off. This has happened a few different times to me.

  • 57,000 miles
The plastic bushing that connects the shift linkage to transmission completely crumbled causing car to not shift at all. Car only has 57000 miles. This in turn caused check engine light to come on and read code for the tcm (transmission control module) which in turn caused the car to run in limp mode for the days. Major loss of power! after three days code finally cleared. This all happened while car was being driven at a luckily slow speed in a residential neighborhood.

Dart

  • 18,700 miles
Our 2015 Dodge Dart has only 18,700 miles on it and twice in the last 10 months while driving on a freeway, the clutch pedal was depressed in order to shift gears and the pedal stuck to the floor. The first time this happened in August 2017, the master cylinder was replaced at no cost to us. It just happened again on April 28, 2018, same scenario - driving on freeway, tried to shift - and we are told the clutch kit and throw out bearing needs to be replaced and Dodge is refusing to pay for it, saying it is normal wear and tear and not covered under warranty. And because it is different parts it is not covered under warranty of work in August 2017. I have seen many complaints of similar issues and even a couple of lawsuits. Even if repaired again, I am very concerned that this could happen again and am not comfortable driving this car outside of city streets. Dodge refuses to acknowledge this is a known issue nor do they say that my car is covered under an extended warranty on the hydraulic clutch that they issued in 2016.

I had just came home and ran into my house to grab something and immediately returned back to the car and when I started the engine and attempted to put my car into drive the light on the gear shift for neutral lit up. The car is now stuck in neutral and the key will not come out of the ignition due to it being in neutral. We have called several numbers for Dodge and they are telling us that the car is not qualify for the recall because the VIN is not showing up with a recall even though the sight shows that there is a recall for the exact issue for 2011 - 2015 Dodge Darts. We need assistance with this because if they know these cars have this issue there is no way they should be telling us that this car does not qualify for the recall. Please help.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. While the vehicle was in reverse, it started to jerk violently and the gear shifter failed. The contact was able to shift the gear into drive and was able to drive the vehicle. In addition, while accelerating from a stop, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact waited a few minutes before restarting the vehicle to continue driving. Also, the battery warning indicator illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and noticed that it was out of oil. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failures. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 43,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. While driving 35 mph, the transmission shifted hard and made a loud noise. There were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the failure. The contact stated that the failure occurred numerous times in the past. The contact called Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (24 1020 belmont St, brockton, MA 02301) who stated that there was no recall on the vehicle, and the contact would have to pay for the remedy. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 15V542000 (power train) as a possible solution, but the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 60,000.

Check engine light came on and went and had it read. Said it was low on coolant, put coolant in after car was not hot and light continued to stay on and all read up the same, low coolant, but it wasn't. apparently it was the thermostat. Why is there not a recall on these faulty things? I have seen more people reporting problems for these and there is still no recall!!! I will never own anything Chrysler made again, they never stand behind their mistakes, but expect the owners of the vehicles to pay a ridiculous amount of money to have the vehicle fixed.

I was stopped at a 4way stop and when I tried to move forward the car stalled on me and did not move. I pressed on the brakes, let go and pressed on the gas again and it did the same thing but this time the dash read "gear not available, switch to neutral and then to drive or reverse." I did that but it still stalled on me and then the dash read "service transmission" and the engine light came on as well. After one more try I managed to get it to move so I just parked it in an empty parking slot and called my dealerships service department. The car was towed to the dealership and as I type this I'm awaiting a call from the service department of my dealership so they can tell me what went wrong. I hope it can be fixed.

Dart

  • 15,500 miles
The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. While attempting to start the vehicle, it failed to start. The contact was able to start the vehicle by shifting into park. The vehicle was taken to bettenhausen automotive (8355 w 159th St, tinley park, il 60477) where it was diagnosed that a loose cable in the transmission caused the failure and needed to be reconnected. The contact did not know the specific cable. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer stated that they would call the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the dealer never called. The contact was advised to wait until the dealer provided them with a diagnosis because they would believe the dealer over the consumer. The approximate failure mileage was 15,500.

I bought a 2015 Dodge Dart SXT with 32996 miles on it.got the car on 4-4-2017.I had it not even a month and it's been one thing after another with it.first it dont shift properly it gets to a high RPM then it shoot you forward at a fast speed.then a very bad knocking in the front end when you turn the wheel from left to right while parked.the dealership looked at it 3 times and couldn't diagnose it but did tell me it needs two up dates that would fix the shifting issue, then said I needed a new right shift axel and I asked them to check the right hub cause the other shop told me the hub was bad. Well they were right on that. So Dodge fixed those things for me.then said my knocking was from the axel.two days later its still knocking I had another shop diagnose the knocking to it was the (rack and pinion).I took it back to Dodge and told them and they argued and said no that's not it.two days later they ordered a rack and pinion.now the car has been stalling out on me, the shifting problem is back again.one the high way going 75 mph there is a terrible noise coming from tire area along with a vibration that I feel on my feet coming from under the car.going around highway corners the back end feels like it's slides.all this with in 1 month of owning this car.this car is not and never will be safe for my kids and I, no matter how many times they try to fix it.I got invoices and everything document and I will be getting a lawyer for having to pay 15000 for a lemon when I told the dealership I wanted something else cause there is to many things wrong with it when it's only two years old.I was told no its to late I got all the messages saves on messenger from the sales men at the dealership.what do they expect me to do after the warranties up and it still has issues I can't afford that.I bought a new car so I didn't need to put money into it. This car is a lemon@iwillproveit

No oil light on, no engine light, and it stalled. There is a problem with oil consumption with the 2.4 engine. My car died after backing out of my driveway and starting a turn. Y car stalled out twice in the middle of intersections very dangerous. Battery light came on, music continued, but enginge just died. The steering wheel froze (no more power steering), and I couldn't press my brake down, it just sat there in the road. I checked the level of my oil and it doesn't even cover the curved part of the dipstick, that's how low it is.the car stalled out again, a few months after the oil change. The car is not indicating when it needs oil, and is shutting itself off so it doesn't over heat while driving at speeds 70mph+ and in the middle of intersections while turning.
