Summary
Flash: 2.4L Powertrain Diagnostic and System Improvements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set in the PCM memory: ? P0133 - O2 Sensor 1/1 Slow Response. In addition, some customers may describe that the engine is overheating based on the engine oil temp gauge read out. Software improvements include an engine oil temperature gauge level recalibration to avoid the misperception of an engine overheating condition.
