Consumer was driving inside of a parking garage upon applying brakes the brakes didn't work had to put on emergency brakes to pull into a parking space. Then truck started smoking underneath his vehicle. Consume R tried to open hood and it wouldn't come up. Vehicle started to spit out sparks and fire occurred. Flames started dripping from underneath the hood. Then the truck exploded and the two front tires blew out. Fire department was notified.

While traveling about 45 mph rear ended another vehicle in front. It was not raining but ground was wet. Consumer said when the driver in front put on the brakes, she was about six car lenths behind with plenty of time to stop. But, car didn't stop, causing a collision. Consumer was not hurt, but the people in the other car were.

When applying the brakes while pulling a 26 foot camping trailer, brakes locked up. The vehicle skidded approximately 150 feet before coming to a stop. Rear tires were "flat spotted" due to brakes locking. This happened while making an emergency stop. When the system was checked by dealership for trouble, computer printed out "wrong anti lock controller for this vehicle". the control box was replaced with the correct unit.

Water stain on headliner, 3 of the 4 windows have all been stuck in the up position a total of 5 times, the back of the vechicle slides out of control in wet conditions, brakes pads already had to be replaced in under 10000 miles.

When touching the brakes slowly vehicle will lock up without warning which caused an accident once. On another occasion caused a child to be thrown foward and hit windshield, cutting her mouth. Certified mechanic stated that front calipers will stick while the rear wheel ABS will push it forward.

Leased. Owner's manual states starting the vehicle brakes must be applied and shifting to any driving range, but when brakes are not applied, vehicle can be shifted into gear. Manufacturer contacted, and stated vehicles design does not have the shift interlock. Problem still exists. Provide further information
