One day after purchase, rear axle went bad. 3 days after purchase, oil gauge started acting up, we had it checked with 2 different garages, both said this vehicle shows signs of abuse and neglect in the engine, crankshaft is scored and engine contaminated. It needs to be replaced. One estimate is of 5,500 and the other is $3,500. Dealer says "tough luck" how is this fair?

Consumer was traveling 50mph and oil pressure gauge went out. Vehicle stopped accelerating, pulled to side of road. Had vehicle towed to dealer. Oil pump had to be replaced, costing $1400. Dealer was never available to talk to consumer to explain why this happened so soon. Mechanic is suggesting that engine be replaced, so problem won't happened again.

Oil and engine light came on. Pulled over to check oil, and oil was very low. Had just changed oil two weeks ago. Consumer noticed a loud noise coming from under engine when accelerating, but not at all times. Another time while driving on parkway vehicle died, consumer came close to having an accident. Dealer said ignition coil went bad. The engine light came on because oil and filter were not changed regularly. The catalytic convertor was damaged but the dealer could not fix it due to national back order.
