The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Durango. While driving approximately 20 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the vehicle hydroplaned. The contact lost control and crashed into a tree. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed. The contact sustained injuries and bruises to the back, which required medical attention. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage and VIN were unknown.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Durango. During inclement weather, water intrusion occurred near the front of the windshield on the driver's side. The contact owned the vehicle for less than 30 days. Also, when the vehicle was driven through an automatic car wash in neutral, the vehicle failed to restart and only restarted after several attempts. In addition, the vehicle made an abnormal noise. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V352000 (air bags). The manufacturer provided no solution other than advising the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The approximate failure mileage was 129,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

I was told I would get a loaner car for my driver side air bag, then every time I am put through to to dealer I am then told I may have to go to the enterprise and get a rental and put down $100 of my own money... I don't have that. So that is still not replaced, also now there is no parts for the passenger side and it's not at all safe, the light is going off and on in my car and I have section 1 and my car is 2004 meaning the 6-9 years is now in the 13th year. I want a loaner car till you can finally fix both airbags, this is insane!

The contact also stated that the RPM needle would go up to 3,000 rpms after starting the engine and no pressure was applied to the accelerator. The driver side air bag deployed after slamming the driver side door. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer who stated that they would not be able to further assist. Takata recall I have gotten several notices in the mail that my Dodge Durango has a recall for both the driver's side and passenger's side air bags. I have contacted my dealer about getting the recall rectified 3 times now but am told that they do not have the parts on hand to fix. I find it hard to understand why my vehicle can not be fixed in a more timely manner. What is it going to take to get the air bag replacement done?

Takata inflators received a recall notice in July of 2016 now an airbag light has come on the dash have not heard anything from them since initial contacts.

Takata recall. I contacted the closes dealer in regard to recall R25. This dealer is twin rivers Chrysler Jeep Dodge, 529 w court beatrice, ne 68310. I was told that they could not get to this recall for 1 to 1.5 years. This dealer is approximately 30 miles from me. I called a dealer further away, approximately 70 miles. They told me I could schedule the repair for tomorrow. I did schedule this repair for a week and half away with this further dealer. It is ridiculous that the close deal for some reason can not do the repair in a reasonable amount of time yet one over twice as far away can do it basically immediately.
