The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Durango. The fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve does not fully close at the end of refueling. This allows fuel to escape from the vehicle through the filler neck at the end of refueling. The authorized dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle has not been repaired at this time. His model was not included in recall # 09V003000 (fuel system, gasoline:storage:tank assembly). The failure mileage was 42,000. The current mileage was 45,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Durango. Whenever the contact fills the fuel tank, gasoline sprays out of the tank. The fuel nozzle stops whenever the tank is full; however, fuel still sprays out of the tank. The failure occurs without warning. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they stated that the failure was related to the fuel tank filler pipe and cap. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 64,000 and current mileage was 66,000. Updated 1/8/09 the dealer found a faulty tank inlet check valve. Updated 01/14/09.
