My sons and I were involved in a hit & run injury car accident. We were rear-ended on the freeway in heavy traffic. I was going about 5 mph and driver behind me plowed into us at about 30 mph! instantly me and my younger son both said we hit our heads. Our heads hurt besides being thrust by the impact. My son kept pointing at something asking me to look when I was trying to call 9-1-1 for help and the other driver was trying to talk to me unsafely in the highway! my son told me to look at our headrests. Both front seat headrests had deployed and struck us in the back of our heads on impact! we could not believe it. As my younger son said, we suffered enough with neck, shoulder, back and stomach pains from being thrust in this car accident but to be punched in the back of our heads on top of that?? it really hurt us and we were moving at the time of impact. Fortunately we were checked on scene medically by the paramedics. Even the highway patrol officer had never seen anything like the headrests dislodged, neither had the paramedics. I looked on line and found a litigation against a major car manufacturer and found out this may be an extremely unsafe defect on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. We can't even put back the headrests in place on either front seat headrest. This was very scary for both of us, having our heads hurt so much upon impact. Yet we didn't go forward into the steering wheel or dashboard, rather we got clocked, punched in the back of our heads by the headrest supposedly there to help curtail whiplash. Extreme lies by the car manufacturers and a total safety hazard. They need to be held responsible for causing this much duress and injury to all these customers who trust these major car companies to keep us and our loved ones safe, not intentionally injure them.

Driver side window fell down inside door and shattered.

The A/C and heat works only out of the driver's side. The heat only works out of the passenger sides. This is a widely common problem.

Bad lift gate sensor. Hard to believe this will be the second sensor that will need to be replaced on this vehicle. 1st was still under warranty

Takata recall. 2014 Caravan engine knocking noise do to bad rocker arms and camshaft. This problem is related on all 2014 Caravan and Jeep with a 3.6 ltr only do to weakness on rocker arm bearing. And should be fixed at Dodge expense as it's not a cheap fix an I'm not impressed by Dodge with the issue

On September 17, 2016 around 8pm, I put the van in park took my foot off the break and stepped out. As I went to move and shut the door, the van popped out of park into reverse. The door pushed me down onto the ground and dragged me, as my body was free of the door my left arm was run over by the front tire and the van kept going. My mother in law was still in the passenger seat trying to stop the van. She finally stopped it, but it was to late, my arm was already run over resulting in a very serious crush injury that had to have emergency sugery. I now have metal plates in my left arm that will never be removed. I have pain every day and because of this, I had to return the vehicle to the finance company because I cannot work now. My fiance drove the vehicle several times after the incident and he also had the vehicle pop out of park into reverse but he was still in the driver's seat and able to stop it.

Rear passenger right sliding door non-functional. Door cannot be opened or closed. G-D forbid this vehicle is involved in an accident, my grandchildren will not be able to exit the vehicle quickly. I consider this a safety issue. Chrysler does not.

We purchased a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan in February 2015 with 18K miles on it. Our dual ac/heat controls worked fine until April 2016. At that time, the passenger side controls only provided heat no matter how many times you flip the temperature control back and forth. When you run the ac, the drivers side works fine but must shut the vents off on the passenger side because of the hot air. I have researched this problem on multiple Dodge forums and other sites and and it appears that Dodge has been having this issue since the 2011 models came out. This is an obvious defect and needs to be addressed so the problem can be fixed. Since this has just occurred in the last couple of months I have not been to get to a dealer to find out what it would cost but the estimates I have seen or outrageous. Many people have indicated it is the actuator door, update to firmware and even replacement of an HVAC unit (?). this is not a one-time issue with one vehicle. This problem is growing and needs to be addressed.

Accelerator sticks when full throttle is applied. I traded a 2010 Chrysler LX van I had for 5 years in on this vehicle and it had the same problem. The Chrysler accelerator was replaced twice, once at my expense and once on a recall and the problem was not corrected. Today was the first time I experienced this problem with the Dodge van I bought in January 2016. From previous experience I knew what to do or I could have had a serious accident. I was on a 4-lane city street and changing lanes at the time the problem occurred. A less experienced driver would likely have been involved in a rear end collision. I was able to put the edge of my shoe under the accelerator and pull it up off the floor. Is there a recall on the Dodge and if not what can I do to prevent this happening again? I am concerned for the safety of me and my family when my wife drives the van.

On the morning of April 18, 2015 around 2:30 am the engine compartment of the vehicle was observed to be on fire by a neighbor who called 911. The police report states that the mini van was almost fully engulfed by the time they arrived. The vehicle had been sitting in the driveway since 5 pm the day prior and had not been started since that time. At the time of the fire the vehicle had about 10,000 miles on it and the Chrysler work around for the 'vent window switch' recall had been done as they did not have the part to remedy the problem. This has been reported to Chrysler who after almost 10 months has determined that they do not seem to know what caused the fire but that they are not responsible.

I went on a trip with 5 people. My Grand Caravan has 4 bucket style seats, 2 in front 2 in the middle. In the rear of my vehicle which has the stow and go seating option there are two seats. One is for 1 person the other for 2 people. I opened the seat for two, even though there was only one sitting in the rear. I closed the rear door after my friend was seated. When we got to our destination the 4 front people in front got out. We then discovered the person in the rear had no way to open the rear door from the inside. Sure I the driver had a button on the front console and another one on my key fob, to release the rear lift door, but the person in the rear was trapped as she had no way to open the door from the inside. That is both a inconvenience issue and a safety issue. But there should be a button with a child lock to prevent kids sitting in the rear from opening the door themselves or to allow an adult to open the lift door themselves

I received a second recall notice letting me know that Chrysler had found a repair for recall P25/NHTSA 14V-234 and to call my dealer to schedule a repair. When I called the dealer we usually use (nikles in petersburg, il) the very rude service guy told me that they did not have the parts in, did not know when they expected them, and would not order them. Basically, refusing to do the required recall repair. I had to call another dealer and they were very nice and explained that I needed to bring the car in and they would need to quickly check and see if I had a green or blue switch and then they could order the part and complete the repair. I tried to call the number provided by Chrysler to report the first dealer refusing to do the repair and had to listen to an outdated recall message (from before they found a repair and were just disabling) and then waited almost an hour on hold before hanging up and trying this website.
