I have been having trouble with my brakes which has been replaced but still grinding noise and squeaky and rotors has been turned. The vehicle has cut off many times, sitting at the traffic light and as getting ready to go and as coming to a stop. It has also cut off as turning and once I realized it I had to try to restart it. It has at times door not unlock and not lock. As putting on brake to come to a stop it shakes. The lights are getting worse they are flickering on and off. Outside light goes out and whole dash goes off while driving. I have to keep flicking the lights as I'm driving so they can come back on. The vehicle has many times not start up and just click when trying to start it.

The car lights do not work turned on manually or automatic. When it first started it was very intermittent, currently it's almost daily. I have had it to 2 different dealerships (before and after warranty). Both times I have been told they cannot find anything wrong and I need to bring it in when it happens. My response "you are not open when it happens, it's dark". I have also had it to my mechanic multiple times and got bless his sole he found the problem this past weekend. I did not have it fixed he said it will probably be somewhere need $1200. He also told me that this is a major defect and should be fixed via a recall. I did look that up and there are multiple complaints but no recall. My son currently drives the car and is away at college which poses all sorts of issues. We have a short term solution we figured out that if you unplug the battery and plug it back in the lights reset, not very convenient. My mechanic also suggested rewiring the high beams to the regular lights but then you wouldn't have high beams.

Made a left hand turn and suddenly the air conditioner, radio, lights, windows stopped working. Drove to a lot and pulled over and everything came back on. Then move the steering wheel and everything shut off again. Turned the car off and everything came back and has worked fine so far. However, the car wouldn't start earlier when turned on. Had to start the car 3 times before it came on.

The interior lights stays on for a long period of time when I start and after shutting down the SUV. The interior lights go out about 15 minutes or so after turning the SUV off. Once I start the SUV and drive, the interior light remains on in the front & upper rear overhead. The electronic key is now locking my doors just from touching the top of the key. There are times, I'm not hitting the button to lock, but just from touching the top of the key with my finger, the doors will automatically lock.scary!!! the steering wheel shakes visibly when braking. Driving on highway at 5:30 am with headlights on. Bright lights (high beams) came on by themselves. Would not turn off. Then would flicker off and on. Head lights stay on. This has happened numerous times since, performance Dodge (dealership where purchased brand new) said they had never heard of that. Checked for codes, found none. Bright beams have come on in daylight with no headlights on. This is the same car I complained about not starting. Still have that issue, last time was in Feb 2015. Performance Dodge ( where I purchased car brand new) told me to call a tow truck for a jump start. I told them this was the same problem over and over and they were aware of it, it wasn't a power issue. This last time in Feb. 2015, the tow driver said that it wasn't a power issue. He had his partner turn the ignition while he barely touched a wire bundle under the hood. Car started right up. Dodge still said no codes.

My husband and I purchased a 2010 Dodge Journey SE VIN#[xxx] in year 2010 in Canada, in 2013 we imported it into us and we are living in Michigan. During the five-year ownership, this vehicle has been causing safety problem many times, the issue is sudden lost of electric power for turning signal, wiper motor power, radio and all dashboard light, except the engine running. The first time of such incident happened within 1 year of ownership while we were at turning signal, the vehicle lost turning signal caused confusion to the vehicle behind and almost caused an accident, and since then every few months or so this incident happens, the dealer did multiple repair to it, but never really solved the problem. Many times the dealers could not replicate the issue we report. I recently experienced twice of such incidents, one was during raining day and the wiper lost power I could not see ahead and had to stop on road, the most resent was yesterday I lost ventilation to the window and could not see through the window due to moisture on window. I video taped these two incidents and would like to forward to you if I can find a way to attach to this complain letter. This is very serious safety issue can cause fatal accidents, we need your help to force manufacture to admit the issue and address the issue immediately before fatal accident happens. Thank you! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

While driving I randomly lose all interior power - windows, wipers, radio, ac, signals. Engine continues to run and steer fine. Shutting off ignition and restarting corrects problem. It happens with no warning and no apparent cause. Ac blower burned out about a year ago; dealer said it was due to a short and they fixed the short for free, but that didn't solve the power loss problem. I've found that pushing the ignition fob slightly in - or pulling slightly out - when it happens can resolve the problem without having to restart the vehicle but I worry that this problem will burn out the ac blower again. This loss of interior power happens on average once every 4 to 6 weeks; it's a safety issue since I the wipers or defog may stop working when it's raining. I don't know if it affects airbag performance and I'd rather not find out that hard way.

Driving at 15 mph all of a sudden panel lights turned off, speed and RPM indicators turned off, air conditioner off, power windows would not work. Turn signals, headlamps and brake lamps did not work. Engine was still on so I pulled to the side and restarted the car a few times until all power was restored.

Since December while driving the vehicle all of a sudden the radio, blinkers and front/back and head lights turn off. I literally have to pull the vehicle over and turn the car off and re-start the engine till it happens again and have to do the samething. I took it to the dealership where we just purchased the vehicle two weeks prior and they stated it was only a fuse. It constantly still happens which is a serious safety issue especially with children in the vehicle. It also takes sometimes 3-5 tries to start the car.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the windshield wipers would activate independently whenever the vehicle was in operation. The contact disabled the fuse in order for the wipers to become inoperative. In addition, both turn signals and high beam headlights failed to function. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 89,528. Updated 01/11/2017
