I bought this car on November 2013. After first/second week of use I realized that when driving the car was pulling to the right. I went to the dealership and tried to make an alignment without success. Then the problem came back and went to dealership (like 5 times) and they said that were the tires (20,000 miles on that moment). So, several weeks after tire replacement the car pulling came back and now with 40K+ miles on odometer the problem persist. Actually I will buy 4 more tires for second time and the car is aligned. I measured the chasis but was ok with no bents or damage but I tried to measure the wheelbase of the car (from center to center of the wheels on left and right side). Surprisingly the left side measures 115 inches and the right side measures 114 inches (here is the problem). Actually I'm asking for car replacement in a court case. Ps - during the first month of use, I tested a 9miles vehicle (same brand, same configuration) and has the same problem and the dealership did nothing. Updated 12/13/2017

The Dodge Journey rolls back on hills. It is dangerous and I'm sure caused accidents. I have an automatic and it never holds the vehicle, it just rolls back. In this day and age it's absolutely a major fault. You have to let brake go and hit accelerator. Dangerous. Also the radio wit maps and directions is broken for 2nd time.

Bought this wonderful (not) car to replace my minivan. Within the first month, when I would put my cell phone in the "cave" under the radio, the radio would scan. Did this multiple times and eventually when I opened the doors (a couple of times), the radio actually muted, ,,,they checked it out and they replaced the radio, then something else to do with the radio....butttt, it still does it. Mentioned that while driving through country roads, the read end gets loose. After he asked me 1) do you drive fast through on the country roads and 2) do I live in in the country (both no answers), they "checked it out" and bam....new shocks on the back. Kinda miffed that they questioned my driving ability actually. I told them that the transmission seemed to shift weird. They checked it out and said there was an "upgrade" that could be done, and they did it. Seemed to work for a while, but it is doing it again. Turned the rear wiper on and off (light rain) and it kept going. I did not push the washer option, and know how to work a rear wiper, but when I mentioned that to them, they looked at me like I was an idiot and explained how the washer option works. But of course, they could find nothing wrong with it. With my next oil change, they are checking on the creaking sound that it makes while driving on bumpy roads at slow speeds....they think that it is the bearings in my leaf spring, but sounds like when we had to replace a strut on my van. All in all, I like the room and setup of the inside of the car, but boy....I have never paid so much for a lemon in my life!! and....guess who didn't buy the extended warranty"???" you guessed it.

Bought this Journey August 2014, since day one we notice the tranny doesn't shift right and has bad pick up you cant even get out of your own way., we complained and the dealer doesn't do anything says oh this is normal. No way I shouldn't get a backache every time I drive this Journey. You can be driving and when U start slowing down it feels like ur being hit from behind when the tranny shifts. Or if coming to a stop sign then you hit gas it shifts the same way. Horrible and a waste of money I will go again for the 10 th time and if they don't fix this, time to take them to court lemon law time..

I was slowing down and turning right into my driveway when the engine stalled. I was going 8 mph when I noticed I had no power steering and the rpms were at 0. my engine stalled for no reason. I have push button start/ignition, so this is not a case of a heavy keychain moving the ignition into auxiliary or off mode.. this is my wife's car and she drives my son and daughter everywhere. I am very worried this could happen in a dangerous situation or at higher speed! I'm not a mechanic, but I have noticed with the V6/auto 6 speed transmission, this car has very strange shifting programs / "curves". it seems to shift early and sometimes when slowing down, it's like the transmission doesn't downshift quickly enough. That may be the cause for what it's worth. Bottom line, I need to know it's not going to do this again with my family in the car!
