The driverseat deployed while returning the seat back to an upright position in can no longer be retained. The retaining pins appear to be completely broken requiring a new headrest. This issue has caused unnecessary difficulty while driving and extreme discomfort to the driver.

I'm currently living in Hawaii and I was driving down the road and hit a slight bump in the road and my passenger side headrest spring forward. Thinking it was something minor I did not think anything about it until I realized my airbag light came on, on the dashboard. If I am to hit a bump in the road the light will go off temporarily but come back on.

A while back my passenger side headrest exploded, not sure when or how? my car was under warranty so the dealership I purchased it fixed it, however recently when driving down the interstate out of no where my driver side headrest also exploded, it scared the crap out of me as I was pregnant at the time! I didn't hit anything, nor were there any holes! it's at the dealership now because my car stalled on me today, haven't had very good luck with the car at all! I believe they were cheaply made, have had several problems with this vehicle since I purchased it brand new in 2015! hopefully my warranty will cover the driver headrest as they gave me a hard time last time!

Purchased vehicle in April of 2015, transmission pump went out on it in July 2016 while on vacation moving through the entrance gaits at where we were staying. Was fixed under warranty on vacation. Dealership did not even give us a loaner while waiting. The following April 2017, it happened again while driving to work only they had replace entire transmission. Now my vehicle jerks when switching gears and stalls randomly when I come to a stop. I am at 76K miles. This new transmission is still under warrenty since it has not been a year. This car is a lemon!!! I will be getting rid of it soon. I was hoping to keep it after I paid it off, but I don't think it will last for me to see it get paid off! I have also had a seat track fixed and the radio and navigation replaced, as well as the wiring harness for the steering wheel and cruise control. All during warrenty thankfully. Makes me angry because I do not want to start over on a loan and I will not be able to buy at the same interest rate.

My son was sliding/folding the middle row passenger side seat up and when it folded up it hit the front passenger seat really hard causing the headrest to deploy. The silver bar is inside the two teeth and the black plastic pieces that hold the silver bar are broken. The car was stationary in the driveway not running and not moving at time of incident.

While driving down the road the passenger headrest deployed for no reason. It hit my fiance in the back of the head. We were slowing down for a stop sign on a country road from approximately 45 mph. When we got home we examined the headrest and noticed broken plastic pieces in side and a metal pin laying in there. I am the original owner and this vehicle has never been in an accident.

1. the driver seat belt does not stay locked in. Periodically I would put the seatbelts on and it will unbuckle as if it wasn't secured in. I heard it click. It has happened several times. Luckily I was not moving at the time. 2. I received an tune up at approximately 95K miles. One if the pistons was misfiring. I believe the 6th one was. Brand new parts and was installed by a professional mechanic. There is a knocking noise that will not go away. The belts have been checked. 3. while out of town I was parking and while in reverse it became hard to turn. I later found out that there was no fluid in the powersteering. There was a low fluid indication..I immediately filled the car up will power steering fluid. Since then it has been harder to turn my wheel. It started off I could not turn right without a struggle. Then it was the left side. The only way to turn is to accelerate and turn. This came out of nowhere. The aggressive progress in the loss if steering ability is troubling especially with smaller children.

On 7/26/17 I was driving on a local road in eastchester NY going under 25 mph when the headrest restraint deployed and injured the back of my head. Went to er and need to see a specialist for injury. Contacted Dodge/Chrysler and was treated like I was at fault. Lease dealer stepped in and verified there was no collison. Dodge has an engineer scheduled to inspect it 7/31/17. Was told to go through my insurance for injuries but there was no collision!! also, was told to use uber. Lease dealership finally gave me a loaner. Youtube video link in this message of car. While my husband was driving home from work on 3/14/17, he stopped to help a fellow officer that was stranded, he got out of the vehicle and was helping the other officer he smelled smoke and looked back and saw that it was our car on fire. The fire occurred in the front drivers side door panel, he was able to drive the vehicle home, after he thought the fire was out. The next day he drove the car to the auto shop, while on the way there the fire restarted, he was able to make it to the body shop. The vehicle sat at the dealer ship for 13 or 14 days before we finally got the okay from Chrysler to fix it. The mecahanical part was fixed, however the sever smell from the smoke, burnt rubber, and plastic was not. We did take the vehicle back, and the dealership did do everything they could to get the smell out, the smell is still there. This is the only vehicle we have.so we have had no choice, but to drive it. My boys both have severe asthma and allergies, so riding in a car with a constant odor of smoke and burnt stuff is extremely unhealthy. My husband has also had a cough from the smoke inhailation that occurred, he is currently coughing stuff up outta his lungs. I have made at least 20-25 phone calls to Chrysler, and have not received one back, we have not even received the report from the fire inspector that they sent. I would really just like to get some answers and know my rights. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I was rear-ended after coming to a stop on a highway in rush hour traffic. Upon impact, my body lunged forward and the backwards landing on the seat, causing it to recline almost onto the 2nd row seat. When my body went backward, it caused me to unhand the steering wheel. It is unknown what may have caused the seat to recline other than the impact of my body on the seat. I have a police report.

The plastic around the driver and passenger seats has broken off exposing sharp metal, as well as binds the seatbelt up preventing proper use. The seats were used as they should be, the plastic clip that looks to have secured it is too far to the side to withstand a driver or passenger getting out of the vehicle if they turn to the side. I was talking with a person at work about this issue as they own a Journey and have the same exact problem. Our vehicle only had 13K miles when this happened, so it's not an old plastic issue. I managed to cut my leg when wearing shorts due to this issue, so it is a safety problem.
