I had just picked up the car in question after purchasing at a used car lot then drove it about 20 miles before I stopped for fuel at which time I filled the tank then as I went to pull out into the lane of traffic and began to pick up speed and at about 30 mph the car began stuttering then it died. Luckily it started up before the cars coming hit me. I have since filed it up several times before and realized that it was doing the same thing after each time I filled up, I then began doing some searching on the internet and seen that others were having the same issues so that led me to file this complaint. Can someone please look into this before someone gets seriously hurt?

Had just filled up with fuel when taking off to cross the street the car died and had to be pushed to the side of the road. After a while it started up but died numerous times then was fine until next fill up. After a few days it started losing power when driving down the road then power came back.. this is unsafe due to the car slows down fast then powers back up.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 35,000 and the current mileage was 63,000.

My Dodge Magnum for the last year " total of 4 times" has stalled only after refueling along with the steering wheel locking. There is no warning !. no engine light.! the car just shuts down. But this last time it almost caused a accident. Too close to a disaster. I had my child in the car. I have read the complaints on this site. And I know I am not the only one this happens to. Why is this not being addressed !!! I have never had this happen to me with any other car I have owned. I baby my car with servicing. I have 134,282 miles. I haven't had a issue with the car ever. Until now. I believe it's a faulty part. This is a life threatening issue. As well as the psychical stress not knowing when my car fails me. Why is this not a recall with the Dodge Magnum fuel system" which causes a vapor lock without warning. Does someone have to loose a life to get this addressed "

After filling the gas tank, the car stalled at the next 3 intersections and ran rough once on moderate acceleration. No engine codes or warning lights appeared. Engine was able to be restarted nut only when depressing the accelerator pedal slightly. Would not re-start otherwise. Problem resolved itself after about 15 minutes of operation. Since then, issue has re-surfaced approximately 6 times with similar symptoms; occasionally with engine stalling while the car is slowing down but still moving. All time are associated with the first few minutes of operation after filling the gas tank.

While driving my Magnum, the engine stopped completely. The car has done this since I have had it. It has been to three Dodge dealerships, costing me hundreds of dollars, and the problem is never fixed. It seems that the car stops mostly when I first drive off in the morning and after filling up with gas.

After fill up and not topping off tank car will sputter or even die and have to be restarted several times for the first 10 or so mile. My car has died several times in busy traffic almost causing a rear end collision from cars behind me.

Engine computer that talks to key to determine "match" dies and shuts off vehicle while driving. Computer had to be replaced. 14000 miles later (two years later) computer that was replaced does the exact same thing and Dodge will not replace as a defective, but rather charging 1200 bucks. Extremely dangerous as it randomly just cuts off engine while driving at any speed and can be rear ended. This is not a part that "wears". and this is not a part that should ever have to be replaced or go bad.

I experience 2 types of engine stall. First incident - car engine would stall at a stop light and happen several times. I completed a tune up thinking it was a spark plug and problem continues. My mechanic tested the car for one day and cannot tell me why it would stall. Second incident - car engine would stall at 10 miles per hour causing the car to stop which is dangerous.

Sudden engine stall few miles after fuel charge. These problems happened several months ago, and becoming more frequent almost every fuel charge. When engine stalled, it's difficult to restart. One incident was the sudden engine stall during driving causes me to panic due to losing power assist of steering and brakes, and almost hit side walk at my neighborhood. Asked dealership to see what was wrong, and they made some repairs to the fuel injection, and egr valve. But the problem was not fixed. It's very dangerous.

Normal fill up at costco 91 octane - started to drive away the Magnum srt8 stalled and the vehicle behind me leaving the parking lot hit me. Could not get it to run correctly for about 30 minutes. My wife and baby in the car very worried.

Low fuel light came on, stopped at a gas station to fill up. I filled the tank full up to when the gas-refill-nozzle clicked off, and then a little more - up to the next whole dollar. Recapped my tank, and began to drive away. The engine bucked a bit then stalled. Was a bit harder than normal to get it restarted. Then slowed for the first traffic signal and it suddenly died in busy traffic! hard to get it restarted. Pulled away from the stop light and it bucked and stuttered some more and then cleared up in a couple miles. This has happened about 3 times since this behavior started. Two times for sure the car was running during the refill. I will pay attention in the future to see if it only happens during refill with it still running.

After filling up at a local gas station, I drove away, about a quarter mile and stopped at a stop light. The engine stalled as I stopped. I shifted to neutral and attempted to restart the motor 3 times before it would run. Once started, I drove for about another mile, and when I slowed to make a right turn, it stalled again. I was able to restart and the vehicle ran fine after that. This is roughly the fourth time this has occurred. The last two times, I realized that they were immediately after a fill up.

The first time a stall occurred I was stopped at a light when the car stalled. It took several tries to get the car started. The check engine light came on but then went off after several minutes. Since then, the car has stalled on multiple occasions both while driving at highway speeds and at idle. Some of the stalls are only a split second, with multiple dash warning lights appearing before the car starts again on its own. Unlike other complaints I have seen, it does not occur only after filling up the tank but is instead completely random. I have taken the car to the dealership and independent mechanics on at least six occasions. The Dodge dealer had the car for a week on one occasion and was still unable to determine the problem. Since they have been unable to replicate the issue the problem has not been fixed. Not only is this problem extremely frustrating since mechanics have been unable to find a solution, it is also dangerous since power steering and brakes stop working when the car is stalled.

The car stalls, shuts off while driving. Had both of the top 02 sensor replaced. A repair told me my oil pressure sensor was bad got that replaced. Call the service center and tell them the problem and they said my computer needed to be reset. That didn't work.

Immediately after filling gas tank with new fuel the following has happened several times: The car will start at the gas station but shortly after leaving the gas station (within a block or when getting back onto the highway from a rest stop) the car will stall. The stall can happen at a traffic light or even on the way to reaching highway speeds. At this time my solution to the problem has been to rev the engine in neutral for a bit after getting the gas tank filled with fresh gasoline.

The vehicle was taken to three different dealers but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The manufacturer was notified and offered the contact eight oil changes at their expense. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 111,000 and the current mileage was 127,000.
