Replaces a new agr valve in January 2015 at local garage, philips garage in dewart, pa. In October the light comes back on and once again diagnosed by bz.motors in lewisburg, pa the test are confirmed that the agr valve is not good. I cannot go back to other mechanic, because he had a stroke and cannot work again. I am scheduled again for replacement on Saturday the 6th of February 2016. I would like to know if there are recalls on the part or if the company can help M pay for the part to be replaced again cost $324. Gas cap replace and rubber housing replaced on gas filler cap, cost was $ $61.22 housing replaced in with new secure bracket after falling down into the vehicle. The line was secured again.costing me $81.62. Cape replaced for $21. I would like to be reimbursed for these defaults as they too are recalls. I also had seen online that the shield for exhaust and its parts had a recall. Since mine was replaced after falling off in March 2015 while I was driving. New part attached back on and nut-stamped flange and shield exhaust. Costing me $147.45 in labor and repairs. My truck has a tendency to stall when at idle speed. Happens on an intermittent basis. I first took it to allen samuel's Dodge on 610 freeway in houston, tx. They could not reproduce the problem, suggested throttle body service which was perform. Didn't correct the issue. Took it to gilman Chrysler on 59 sw freeway in houston, they couldn't reproduce the problem. Within the past two years have had fuel injector service, spark plug replacement and fuel pump replacement in an attempt to correct this issue, all at the above dealerships. Vehicle now has about 75,000 miles. Problem still exist on an intermittent basis. I am afraid that it may stall in traffic while at traffic light or freeway traffic jam which could lead to injury or death. It is my understanding that the 2007 Dodge Nitros were recall for the same problem. I showed the dealers the recall form safecar but their comment was that my vehicle was not recall and since they were not getting any codes my problem was different. I disagree, it has to be computer software as with the Dodge Nitro 2007. I bought the vehicle new in 2008 and am the only owner.

After reading about the problem I have discovered it is something known to Dodge at the time of my purchase which they lied to me when I asked them about said issue. I have been told this time it is a faulty tipm. In researching I found out that Dodge has known this for years.

While pumping gas, the gas poured out the fillerneck after full. This would happen all the time until I had enough of it and on Feb. 2014 I took it to D Dodge dealer who told me it was a wrong part number and replaced my fuel tank no charge even though my warranty was used up. After I got it home and a few days latter it was time to fill it up and I did so. Now gas is flowing from the tank from an unknown place to me when the vehicle is parked in my driveway either slowed with front of vehicle high or rear of vehicle slowed high or on level ground with vehicles right side higher that the left by even the smallest amount. Now I must be without a vehicle until they fix a problem that is even more dangerous that it was before I took it to them to be fixed. This is a very dangerous problem and could put my family at risk. They said they would fix it but I would have to rent a car but it is their fault it is leaking and I have to drive 180 mile round trip to the nearest dealership to get it fixed.

Fuel will splash out of tank every time I fill up and use auto shut off. This is a common problem with Chrysler/Dodge vehicles if you search for complaints online and 45,000 2005 durangos were apparently recalled for the same problem. This is a huge fire hazard at gas stations as well as something that can potentially damage the paint on my vehicle. Dodge is claiming no responsibility for the issue.

Purchased 2008 Dodge Nitro SXT used with 61,500 miles on it. Gas tank fill tube overflows every time you fuel up vehicle. It does not matter how fast or slow you add fuel it overflows every time. Contacted my mechanic and he stated to contact dealer as it is a safety issue. Called dealership and they checked for plugged vent and said if not that must be tank itself. Tons of complaints and Dodge seems to sweep it under the rug, very dissappointed. When filling Nitro, you can not fill to full tank without fuel being spit back onto car, ground and yourself. Pauses in fueling helps somewhat but not completely.

When I fuel the vehicle up fuel bursts out, and doesn't shut off automatically. I've tried numerous different stations and even different pumps but this still happens. Gas pours out of the car and down the sides and even onto me..a pain and waste of money. There are several situations and claims that I have seen like this that need to be recalled and addressed. I have heard (from a family member who is a mechanic)that this is most likely caused by a valve in the gas tank that to prevent an explosion in the event of a rollover accident the valve is obviously defective and now nothing it stopping it from exploding from a rollover accident. Chrysler knows about this and this should be covered under manufacture defect (recall) please fix this and address this issue asap!

Problem with the gas overflowing when attempting to fill the tank - most likely caused by a valve in the gas tank that is there to prevent an explosion in the event of a rollover accident. The valve is defective, and thus the gas spills out, and could possibly explode in a rollover accident. I have read that this is a manufacturing defect, and that Chrysler knows about it. I am possibly driving a dangerous vehicle. This is about more than gasoline spilling at the gas station !!!!

During multiple incidents, the vehicle has "burped" gas when the tank fills.about a 1/2 gallon of gas spills out the fuel filler neck and onto the body of the vehicle and onto the ground. I see internet sites claiming this to be a frequent problem with this vehicle. There is no indication when the gas will spew from the tank and this occurs during manual pump operation as well is if the pump handle is on automatic fill.

When filling the vehicle with gas, when the pump clicks off gas spews from the filler tube. It runs down the side of the vehicle and also gets all over whosoever is filling the vehicle.
