2007 Dodge Ram 2500 - while driving approximately 50 mph the truck wheels go into what is referred to as the "death wobble" as it's described as both front tires are bouncing up and down like a basketball. The driver has very limited steering control while this is happening resulting in a serious automotive accident. There was a recall on tie-rods but the dealership did not replace the defective tie-rods. I took the truck to a local garage specializing in front wheel alignments and tie rods. This is extremely dangerous and Dodge should be held responsible and liable for this defective design and part.

We received a notice in the mail regarding a national recall on our vehicle. We had the vehicle inspected by our local Dodge dealer and were told we would be called when the parts come in. To date (over 1 month now) we have not gotten this recall part fixed, nor have we heard anything from the dealer. Appx 2 weeks ago we made a follow up phone call to the dealer and were told that parts had still not arrived as there was a shortage of parts available. What in the hell could be taking the company so long to resolve this issue. In the recall letter it specifically states that :this could cause a loss of directional control and/or crash without warning. We have two small children. Should any accident occur as a result of this issue I will personally sue the [xxx] out of whomever is and whomever is even moderately close to being responsible for the defects of this truck. The steering linkage in the Ram broke. Luckily it happened in a parking lot and not on the freeway. The Ram had to be towed. At the time the owner of the mechanic shop where the truck was towed noted that there have been problems with the steering linkage in other Ram he serviced. He suggested we go with a different brand part to keep this from happening again. The recall notice came asking that if the problem was serviced prior to the recall notice that we send in the receipt for reimbursement. We sent in all the proper documentation. We were informed over the phone though that our claim was not to be reimbursed since we did not use mopar parts (which was not a requirement stated on the recall). Our reimbursement was rejected even though there was a issue with mopar parts and we chose to use a part that did not have a history of breaking. We don't feel we should have to pay for this problem.

The check engine warning light was also illuminated sporadically. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where it was diagnosed that the manual temperature sensor, reflash module, and the sensor exhaust manifold needed to be replaced. There were multiple repairs performed on the vehicle however, the failure was recurring. The dealer then diagnosed that the diesel exhaust sensor, egr valve, gasket, crank case sensor and the differential pressure sensor needed to be replaced, in addition to an unknown component of the steering gear box.the vehicle was not completely repaired and the check engine warning light was still illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 33,492.

I have been notified of the recall on the left tie rod end (N62 / NHTSA 13V-528). I spoke with my local dealer on 01/13/14 and was put on the list for repair. The dealership stated that I was number 35 on the list and they were completing 1 recall every 7-8 days due to lack of parts. Now I am told this recall has been put on hold and will not resume until 6/14. This delay for a recall is alarming. 'the left tie ball stud on you truck may fracture under certain driving conditions. This could cause loss of directional control and/or crash without warning.' The tie rod end on my truck has fractured once all ready less than 1 year ago. Fortunately there was not a wreck or injury due to the loss of the ability to steer the vehicle. I am now having to replace another steering component linkage on the same truck that is not affected by the recall and the mechanic is having problems locating parts to complete the repair. Again if this tie ball stud would fracture it would result in loss of steering control.

I went to the dealer for a state inspection. I was told that the front end steering parts needed to be replaced as it wasn't strong enough for the truck. I asked if it was recalled as it wasn't strong enough. They said no, and the only way they could correct with their parts was replace the whole system. (they would have gotten a part from a outside parts house to replace the one bad part). I believed them and had the whole system replaced for over $1100. It was the replaced system evidently that has been recalled. I have contacted a dealer closer to my winter home for the recall. I have been waiting for over two months for them to contact me that the parts were in. At the original time of me checking I was told the parts probably were not even made yet. Repeated checking is to no avail. I am told they only receive about one part ever two weeks, and they had my info and would call me. The problem could cause a crash! with the winter we have had, and we do plow with this vehicle, it should be a priority. They were contacted January 7th and we are now into March. The time has pasted on when this should be done.

I received a recall notice in the mail and took my truck to the dealer who preceded to tell me that it did not apply to my truck, so when my 16 year left the dealership 2 days later she was driving down the road and it started shaking uncontrollably and she heard a snap and lost control of the steering and hit a guardrail and wrecked, if not for the guardrail she would have went down a six ft embankment and been injured. She had just driven on the interstate and if she had been on it she probably would have died. I do not appreciate the dealer putting my daughter in this kind of danger, when I contacted them about this they said well, we are only sent 1 every 7 days and they are 30 people in front of you. This excuse is unacceptable and my child could have been killed. I had to pay $933 for repairs and I expect to be reimbursed for these repairs.
