Vehicle impacted a telephone pole head-on during wet conditions while traveling at approximately 35 mph. Upon impact, both frontal air bags failed to deploy. Manufacturer has not given consumer a reason for failure of air bags. Please provide any additional information/attachments.

Consumer was driving at approximately 40 mph, and lost control, vehicle went into ditch head-on, upon imact, dual airbags did not deploy. Vehicle sustained enormous damage, such as front bumper being pushed up to radiator, and steering wheel knocked loose when consumer's head hit it.

The airbag warning light came on and stayed on the day after I purchased my vehicle. The dealer was immediately contacted and they advised that the airbag would most probably not deploy in the event ot a collision. I was also advised they had a previous occurrence, recently, of the same nature and believed it might be somehow caused by an anti-theft system the dealer installs on all their vehicles.
