Flash: 1.4L Diagnostic And System Improvements
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control
Module (PCM) with new software.
A small number of customers may experience one of the following conditions or a
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the Technician
may find a Diagnostic Trouble Code has been set in the PCM:
? P0141 - O2 Sensor 1/2 Heater Performance.
? Crank no start condition in extreme cold temperatures of -4°F (-20°C) partially due to
the available fuel blend conditions.
