After fueling up at a gas station, my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport would not start. When I tried, all of the lighted features started strobing, flashing, and cycling through very quickly on my panel. I called Roadside Assistance, and they jumped me. It was a 50-minute drive home, so it gave the vehicle ample time to recharge. The next day, it would not start. I am waiting for a Roadside to jump me again so I can take it to the dealership. (Suggestion: ability to load video.)

exhibits a chatter/shudder during low speed turning events. This may be due to contamination of the Rear Drive Unit (RDU) fluid through the RDU vent hose. To correct the condition I have to follow the Service Procedure to replace the RDU vent hose. the drain tube for the rear differential gets clogged from road debris and dirt gets into rear differential. The repair is rerouting drain tube (new part) and changing fluid.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to accelerate, the accelerator pedal was depressed all the way to the floorboard and the RPM increased quickly but the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the vehicle vibrated violently with an abnormal humming sound coming from underneath the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V267000 (Electrical System, Power Train); the VIN was included, but the vehicle had already been repaired. The contact also stated that the failure started following the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 30,000.

The contact stated that on several occasions while making a left or right turn, the contact stated that the vehicle was shuddering with an abnormal grinding sound and vibration coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear differential unit vent hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.

On days when it rains or the weather is slightly cold/dewy, the Ford Bronco seems to make a screech/horn-like sound only when reversing. I found some online forum links (listed below) where other Ford users seem to describe the similar issue we're experiencing. This is the second dealership that we have taken the vehicle to be serviced for the issue, but they have both stated there is nothing they can do because the issue has not been issued as a recall. [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] The first dealership visited for service was: Metro Ford Sales & Service, Inc. Address: 6455 S Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60636 The second dealership visited for service was: Napleton Ford of Oak Lawn Address: Address: 6100 W 95th St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 The attachment includes the most recent appointment visit. Unfortunately, I cannot provide an invoice at this time because the vehicle is still at the dealership (10 days after taking it in). I visited the dealership yesterday (08/12/2024) where I was informed that the the service technician working on my car is in the hospital. Had I not visited, then I probably would not have known this, and the other service technician I spoke to said they could not share any more details since they were not part of the servicing for my car. Martin Garcia (mgarc520@ford.com) is supposed to be the middle-man between me and the dealership to help me address the issue, but I have not received information from his end either. When I called the Ford's number using (866) 631-3788 to get a hold of Martin Garcia, someone else assisted and I was told that he would call me tomorrow (08/14/2024) to give him an update on what the dealership shared with me. Loss of power. I was traveling after work and heading to family-??s resident. I was on the freeway and noticed the engine light come on then followed by a loss of power. The slightest 1 degree difference incline had the vehicle lose 20-30 mph while on a highway of 65 mph limit. I turned around the it made every little climb dangerous to drive. Luckily I was heading back home while it was nearing midnight. The freeway was especially free of the normal traffic. Im glad I made it home safely but the slightest incline while on a 75 mph limit freeway was dangerous when I dropped to 35-40 mph. I took my vehicle in to the dealership. Upon a diagnosis, they found the solenoid to have short circuited. Last thing I heard today from the service advisor was the part needed is now on back order.

AWD Module tested internally bad when assessed by local dealership. Vehicle was taken in for assessment after a software update recal was completed as vehicle then started stating vehicle had a powertain malfuntion, Pre-collision system was off, Hill.assist was off, Traction control was off, 4WD unavaialble, AWD unavailable. The dealership AND Ford Customer Service states that this was not covered under the warranty as it was not a powertrain malfunction but rather and electrical issue. I researched and found Customer Satisfaction Program 21B19- AWD Module Replacement was filed with NHTSA ID Number: 10191184. Which has my vehicle make, model and year stating that there was in fact a known issue. I was never notified of this issue and am now being told my problem is only electrical and not covered under my warranty resulting in me having to pay out of pocket to correct a KNOWN problem that has been documented.

Due to a defective original design, the vent hose for the read differential unit collects environmental contaminates and causes chatter and slipping in the differential. This can cause degredation of the gears which limits the ability to drive and control the car. See TSB 24-2185

The rear axle differential. The rear axle is making a bumping and grinding noise upon acceleration and when turning at low speed as if the axle is going to fail. It happens during right and left turns but right turns are worse. The vehicle was taken in for diagnostics, and there is a TSB for suggested repairs. The parts needed to be ordered.

I recently had the recalls addressed (despite having any issues with the vehicle). Days later, I noticed my vehicle would occasionally not detect my key fob. Changed battery without resolution. On 6/27/24, I was driving in rush hour traffic, and stopped with the red light. When the light turned green, I went to drive, and the car shut itself down. Everything shut down. Couldn't even turn on my hazards. While waiting for a tow truck, I received a tip to use the key fob to push the start button, and that actually worked. I took it to Ford, and they returned it 12 days later with updated modules (they stated they couldn't diagnose the issue which is fascinating to me considering the nature of the recalls and all the information I am able to find online). 10 days after having it back, the vehicle hesitated to start and displayed a 4wd fault error. Contacted Ford immediately. The next morning, I started the car and the errors were gone, but I still wanted to get it checked out, so headed towards Ford. Stopped for gas on my way, but after filling up the tank, my car wouldn't start again. This time far worse than the first time, as something under the hood starting making a clanking noise, and smoke started coming out from under the hood, and smelled like electrical fire. The noise continued to get louder, and the smoke more violent. Finally cut the battery cable since the car was smoking, at the gas pump, on a busy Saturday, minutes before noon. Very scary situation, especially with kids in the car. We are OK. We are safe. But holy crap!

June 2024, I received mail for safety recall notice re: 24S24/NHTSA 24V267. July 16, 2024, went to ford to have it fixed. Ford said everything works good. [XXX] @1450, Me and my son [XXX] old) drove to freeway in [XXX] and my car just suddenly stopped. No electrical power at all. Even the hazard lights doesnt work. Need to call 911 for safety. I was in the middle of the freeway for about 15 mins. Speed limit in the freeway is 65 miles/hr. I was so scared because I have my son with me and anytime somebody might hit our car. I had to call towing and sent to the livermore ford dealership. (Thats where i bought my car). My bronco sport will be paid off this november 2024, now im scared driving in the freeway especially i drove 40 miles one way, going to my work. My 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend had an acute and complete power failure. I stopped for a red traffic light and was waiting to turn and my brake popped under my foot and my vehicle lost all power. It would not restart and I was broke down in the middle lane of traffic with no ability to have hazards or any kind of power. This is with approximately 27,000 miles on the vehicle that I just recently purchased. As a single lady with her quad amputee son in the car, this was very scary and certainly concerning. Ford states my vehicle has no recalls, yet this seems to be a regularly occurring issue with this specific make and model. Can this possibly be looked into and more vehicles added to this recall? Thank God I wasn-??t actually in motion when I lost power. I had to have my vehicle towed to my home and now I have nothing to drive and am told my 3year/36,000 mile warranty expired a few months ago due to age, not mileage. Ford should-??ve reported this, but I figured it needs to be heard again and again until this problem is corrected and unsuspecting motorists aren-??t left stranded or put into any unnecessary danger at the hand of a vehicle manufacturer.

Recall notice 24S24 was completed on 6/14/2024 as notified. However, due to the recall vehicle did not notify me of low battery issue. Since low battery alert was never indicated at any time, I did not have the opportunity to replace with a fresh battery (which would have been done of course) resulting in dealership having to install a new battery at a significantly above general cost ($350 vs approx $200 or less) had service been by another company of my choosing. Replacement of battery should be covered in full (at N/C). This issue should be added to this recall since it is an over & above expense to customer. At the very least, dealership should deeply discount cost of battery replacement, not at full retail cost. Because the BCM module, PCM failed, a continuous drain of battery powered existed when vehicle was not in use. IE: the battery drained fully & was unable to jump started nor recharge when in operation. When not in use continued to "turn l light on/off, alarm alerts, lock/unlock doors, attempt to start" when turned off. This will clearly drain any battery to the point where it cannot be recharged even if it a brand new battery. Again, all systems were turned off (vehicle not running) yet battery continued to drain. Fortunately my case did not result in a crash or injury since it was off & in my drive, but it very well could have during driving (battery drains completely, vehicle can stall & shut down).

Vehicle experienced power terrain failure causing vehicle to stop while driving in the middle of the road meanwhile cars avoid hitting my vehicle. I had my [XXX] old in the backseat at the time and this incident could have caused injury or possibly death. Vehicle has also experienced accelerator issues. Vehicle would lag 3-5 seconds for vehicle accelerator to speed up when pressing on accelerator. Fortunately no major accidents, but I am concerned that the issues I have experienced thus far with the Bronco 2021, it can potentially cause a major accident that can possibly cause injury or death. Through Ford Pass app I do recieve warning messages of mechanical issue at time of incident. Vehicle has been inspected and mechanical issues corrected at the dealership. In March 0f 2024, while traveling down the highway at 65 mph, vehicle lost power suddenly, engine shut off, and loss of power steering with no warning, no check engine lights, no change in temperature to motor. Vehicle was towed to dealership in which they advised the engine was locked up and later determined the turbo had failed, likely leading to the engine failure. The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport only had 30,000 miles so it is apparent this motor and or turbo has some type of fault. Dealership did not cover under warranty as vehicle had branded title from front bumper damage that did not effect the engine.

Vehicle experienced complete shut down in the middle of the road while stopped at an intersection. Could not turn on hazard lights or put the car in neutral to move out of traffic. Car made a loud thumping noise when I attempted to restart. Vehicle was towed to dealership where I was initially told the battery just needed to be charged and it was ready to pick up. When I went to the dealership to retrieve my vehicle, it would not start and had the same error messages on screen and made the same loud thumping noise. Vehicle is currently still at the dealership and no answer as to when it will be fixed or what the issue is. Today is day 5 without my vehicle.

Knocking noise from rear end reported to Chapman Ford dealership service center approximately 1 year ago, unsure of exact date. Problem was reproduced and confirmed by dealership but unknown origin. On 6/11 Chapman Ford attempted to repair by completing TSB 23-2 335 Rear Diff Drain Tube replaced with New Rear Diff Fluid Drained and filled and drain plug replaced. Drove vehicle 11 miles home from dealership. During next drive of vehicle on evening of [XXX}, while backing out of the garage the rear differential was knocking louder and more frequently. Taken back to Chapman Ford on Wednesday 6/19 as they stated Monday morning when they opened and I call that was the earliest they could inspect the vehicle. Determined the rear differential now needs completely replaced. The vehicle is available for inspection at Chapman Ford, 1255 Columbus Ave, Marysville, Ohio as it will be there for at least a week awaiting the appropriate parts. Case # CXH-02187526-Q8C0H6. Ford was to forward my concerns to the dealership. I contacted the dealership back and was told that effective 05.24.24 Ford had put a "hold" on repairs for this recall. I explained that Ford was saying that they had not. I am to call the dealership back in a week to see if Ford will repair the recall.

After an hour, the contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was driven to the dealer. The contact was informed that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V267000 (Electrical System, Power Train). The contact was informed that software updates were performed on both the Body Control Module (BCM) and the Powertrain Control Module (PCMP). The contact stated that several days later while driving at an undisclosed speed and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle stalled with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after waiting for nearly an hour. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and instructed the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer; and the contact was also provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 53,600.
