Driving i10 west and my vehicle lost power shifted hard and went in limp mode. Wrench light came on with these warning awd/powertrain, hill assist front end collision unavailable, won-??t shift to park
- Long Beach, MS, USA
When reversing there is the absolute worst extremely loud embarrassing metallic screeching sound, considerable to a ships horn. Once you press brake fully and come to a complete stop the sounds ceases, let go of the brake it come right back. You can put it in drive and then back to reversing, same thing. Dealership was informed in 2022, said they fixed it. Spring/Summer of 2023 after complaining again was told part was ordered, could not be told what part. September 2023 was told no part was ordered, issue was fixed. October 2023 had a male take my bronco in for repairs and answers, parts are now reordered, parts are back ordered since this is a recall, no time frame on repair. When you check my vin for recalls, all recalls are closed. I am under the impression that my Dealership never has done recall work and only clearing them off as completed.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while at a stop light, the vehicle shut off with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The message "Service Collision Assist" and "System Powering Down" were displayed. After the engine cooled down, the contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to find a cause for the failure. The contact stated that the failure had reoccurred. The vehicle was not repaired. On another occasion while driving 15 MPH and slowing down, the vehicle lost motive power with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact attempted several times to restart the vehicle, but the vehicle would not restart. The contact was able to push the vehicle off the roadway and had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

Transmission locked in park while attempting to move off of a traffic light. Brakes locked up, unable to start car. Was stuck in the middle lane on a busy street.

I currently am at 14,000 miles on my2021 Bronco Sport. I have had no issues prior to what happened to me on August 9th. While I was at a light my car went completely black with no warning and I was not able to put on hazard lights or put it in neutral to get off the busy highway. I had to call 911 as cars were zipping up close to mine and I was only able to wave my arms to get them to see my car was unoccupied. I was screamed at, honked at all while frantic trying to explain to the 911 operator that I needed a deputy to come and put his lights on behind my car to prevent an accident. My car sat in the middle of the highway with no warning lights on until a tow truck arrived. We then found out there is a way to release the gear and put it into neutral so we could push it to the side of the road. The car was towed to the house where I then had to have another tow truck come get it and tow it to the dealership where i was already waiting for a part. (Differential) At this point it has now been 8 days and i have no updates on what actually happened to my car but in my discovery I have read that this is a more common occurrence than not. Just while waiting in the Enterprise waiting room, waiting for my rental I met a girl with the same exact issue. How many others is this happening to and when will Ford recall this model car before someone is killed? I want answers and want to make sure when they say my car is fixed that it truly is fixed. I am scared to death to drive it now that I even have purchased road flares so I am ready for the next break down, because I truly believe it will happen again.

Beginning at approximately 25,000 miles the vehicle started exhibiting stuttering at low speeds (<10 mph) while turning. this happened in both forward and reverse and turning either direction. I originally reported it as possible CV joint issue. Dealer informed me it was a known issue and drained and replaced the RDU fluid. Issue went away but resurfaced around the 50,000 mile mark. same results that the issue went away. Issue came once again at ~ 75,000 miles at which point I was informed that it was no longer covered by warranty. I paid to have same "fix" done, however the issue did not go away. Ford has stated that they will not cover cost of repair even though this is an existing issue identified under warranty and not corrected. Issue currently has a NHTSA communication (10187981)

After coming down an incline in my garage at work I stopped at a red light, took my foot off of the brake to let the brake assist kick in and my auto idle kicked off as well. Within seconds my car shut off and the instrument panel started flickering. I got SEVERAL error messages flashing by quickly including the "Park Brake Malfunction Service Now" error. I tried to turn the car back on and kept hearing a clicking sound followed by all of the lights flashing again. I couldn't shift to any other gear and was stuck at this intersection unable to move the car or get the windows to open or do anything. Opened the hood to check the battery and everything looked clean and tightly connected. Jiggled the terminal and let it shut down completely. Tried starting again and it worked this time. This has happened once in this same spot before. I took it in to the dealership and they are currently "trying to recreate the issue to get the error message." The true safety concern is for this to happen while on the highway or even in the middle of an intersection. It seems to happen out of nowhere and the fact that the car cannot be put in neutral doesn't even allow for moving it to a safer location.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that the vehicle was jerking while shifting into gear, while making turns, and while coming to a complete stop. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle rolled after shifting into park(P). The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be test-driven. The dealer informed the contact that no issues were found; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the dealer for a brake recall repair, the dealer informed her that the vehicle was experiencing transmission failure; however, the mechanic could not determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V859000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were unavailable. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

On 3/25/23, I was driving down a 40m and then completely shut down. The entire engph road. I had been stopped at a stoplight and as soon as I started to drive again, the car started moving forwardine, all power (dashboard lights, display screen, everything). I panicked and went to go turn the caution lights on--they wouldn't work. As people behind me started honking, I tried to roll down my window to motion them on---the window wouldn't roll down. I had no choice but to open my car door, and stick my hand out to start waving people on behind me. Knowing this was a dangerous situation to be stuck in the middle of the road with no way for cars behind me to know I was stalled, I called 911. They transferred me to the local police department and within 10 minutes, an officer got behind me and turned his lights on to notify other cars to slow down and go around. After about 45 minutes of waiting for a tow truck, the police were getting concerned because of the continued safety risk. So they had another officer jump my car. That got it into the parking lot of a CVS, where it immediately died again. When it's dead, it tries to revive itself and periodically, lights will come on and start flickering. You then go to try to turn it on and are unable to. The latter situation has happened to me twice in the past (where it will not turn on, lights flicker, etc). However, in both of those former situations, my car was parked (once at my apartment complex and once at church) so there was not as much of a safety concern. However, for it to completely dead stop in the middle lane of an extremely busy road on a Saturday at 4:30p was extremely concerning. What is more concerning is that this car is <2 years old and should NOT be doing this. The 2 other times Ford has looked at this, they run diagnostic tests and say "everything looks fine to us." As of right now, my car got towed to my Ford dealership and given today is a Sunday, I am awaiting their call on Monday.

Vehicle brought into dealership for Brake Recall. After this service, vehicle had loud metallic grinding sound when turning hard to the right under moderate acceleration. Vehicle was brought back to the dealership the next day, and the determination was there was damage to the Rear Differential due to a lubrication issue. The dealership added more fluid and a noise reducer fluid, and returned the vehicle a week later. Issue still persists, though not as loud as before. No warning lamps or messages appeared. Only symptom was grinding / surging of transmission when turning, and upon initial acceleration
- Plano, TX, USA
When accelerating, there is a lag in shifting. The engine revs, but the vehicle doesn-??t move, like it-??s in neutral. This happens in normal mode, eco mode, and sport mode (the only modes tested so far). There is also a grinding noise sometimes when vehicle is lit in -??Drive-??. This is a safety problem, because it happened as my wife was turning onto a busy road, and the vehicle would not accelerate. Had to take foot off accelerator, then try acceding again a few times to finally get vehicle to start moving.
- Lincoln Park, MI, USA
Vehicle got stuck in gear while traveling on highway. I would accelerate and the RPMs would shoot up but I was losing speed. I had to pull over, turn off the car and turn it back on. Some Ford dealerships told me they won-??t even look at the transmission while others have a two week lead time to just look at it. I have no other cars to drive yet may or may not be offered a loaner depending on the problem. This is a huge safety risk because I can-??t be going highway speeds and then lose speed and be going 25mph on a 55mph road! I am still waiting to get my car seen and there were no lights that showed on the dash.
- Independence, MO, USA
problems with the engine loses power and a message appears on the screen of the bus that says "transmission system failure" from the 1st day I bought it and the ford does not solve my problem.

While driving the new Bronco Sport big bend home, we both heard a rattling shuttering whirring noise coming from the drivers left side in the dash. We felt this was not a normal noise as we had never heard this on any other new cars we-??ve had. The whirring noise happens on accelerating. The rattling shuttering noise happens at low speeds at ~1500rpms. We took it to the dealer where we purchased it at 1036 mileage. They heard the noise and said it was not normal. They said they found the hood latch cable vibrating and it was fixed. It was not fixed at all. So we took it to another dealer at 1575 mileage. This dealership service department confirmed the engine rattling shuttering/whirring noises are not normal also, but They suspect it's something to do with the transmission. They did their testing and found abnormal air leakage around the -??F-?? clutch port internal to trans. They proceeded to replace the whole transmission. They test drive it and said it was fixed. Yes the whirring hissing noise was much less. But after driving it 100 miles, all these noises are back. Very frustrated and wondering if we will get stranded with a failed transmission somewhere!
- Fairview, OR, USA
while driving my shifter was accidentally tapped and went into neutral I went to a parking lot & at a slow speed I could put the car into reverse or park so if you are driving at 65 MPH it can be shifted and will be a safety issue I'm sure
