Summary
Some 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles may exhibit a hiss or rattle noise in the engine compartment while driving which may be originating from the manual park release cable. Disconnect the cable from the transmission and road-test to confirm the noise is eliminated. If the noise is still present, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 100-04 for diagnostic and repair information. If the cable is causing the noise, reconnect the cable and inform the customer that Ford is working on a solution which is expected to be available by mid-December 2021. Advise the customer that the vehicle is safe to drive and schedule a follow-up appointment for mid-December. Once the solution becomes available, contact the customer and confirm the service appointment is going forward. Monitor OASIS for updates.
