Edge

  • 139,000 miles
After continually smelling gas while my vehicle was parked in the garage I discovered a gas leak in the fuel tank. I took the vehicle to a private mechanic and he verified the fuel tank was leaking due to rusting of the tank. The mechanic informed me of the price of a new tank and it is very expensive. A person at my local Ford dealer informed me that he had the same problem with his Edge. Also, I found a used fuel tank in search for a replacement, and found it has the same rusting problems. My wife and children use this vehicle every day and I feel like this could have been a huge saftey problem. If you are reading this and have the same problem please make a complaint. Ford should be responsible for the repair of this costly and dangerous problem.
