There was an abnormal hissing sound detected. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who bled the brakes. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but before leaving the dealer, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and provided a case number. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
