6 months ago I had my wiper blades replaced as recommended by dealer. Wver since then if its raining mildly the drivers wiper blde gets stuck and it was while I was traveling on a trip. Felt unsafe. Ford has replaced these blades twics and even the motor for wipers. It is still happening. I think quality of the blades are not good. This always happened while driving and if it was not heavily raining just regular rain. I must say however tht Ford dealer has tried their very best and have always been wonderful. I just fear that wiper blades are not of good quality

First malfunction experience (November 2, 2017): I was driving on local streets at around 40 mph in steady but light rain. While using the windshield wipers in manual mode (pushing down on the multi-function stalk), the wipers stopped working. I tried several times without any success, so I tried pushing the stalk up to use the wipers on intermittent or faster speeds. That did not work either. I pulled off to the side of the road at my earliest possibility, turned the car off and turned it back on and the wipers started working properly. Second malfunction experience (November 13, 2017): Less than one week we had the same issue with the windshield wipers. Traveling on the highway at around 60 mph in light rain. We were using the wipers in manual mode when they stopped responding. The wipers stopped responding to manual activation or intermittent or faster speed modes. The rain did not prevent us from continuing to drive and it was about four minutes before we tried them again in high speed mode and they responded. During the time we were experiencing the problem with the front wipers, the rear wiper functioned properly.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. While driving 65 mph, there was an abnormal cracking noise and the panoramic moon roof had spider cracks without warning. The contact called Ford of branford (301 E main St, branford, ct 06405) and was informed that they did not repair panoramic glass. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the glass was replaced on May 17, 2017 with the failure mileage at 2,400. Additionally, while driving 65 mph on November 18, 2017, there was an abnormal popping noise and the sun roof cracked again. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was informed that the glass was on backorder. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The recent failure mileage was 8,800.

Rear (fixed) window of the panoramic moon roof spontaneously cracked in a jagged oval shape approximately 1 foot in length without any impact or other vehicles nearby while driving at about 40 mph. I have read a few other complaints where the glass cracked and shattered into the vehicle compartment under the same or similar circumstances.

Windshield wipers stop randomly while being used or when turning them on. Moving the lever up and down on the steering wheel sometimes gets them working again. Other times the car has to be turned off and restarted.

I was driving home christmas night after spending the weekend with family, it was raining hard and windy (20-30mph gusts). While driving with my wipers on at 70mph on interstate 35 South just North of albert lea Minnesota my wiper blades started to get caught in the wind, I heard a slapping noise a few times and then all the sudden as the wipers went to wipe the passenger side blade was lifted by the wind and was dropped on top of the other blade. The latch that holds the blade on to the driver side wiper was blocking the passenger side blade and caused the wipers to become non functional. At this point I was getting very nervous because visibility rapidly diminished because I could no longer use my wipers. I tried turning them on to high and low and they would not work. The wipers did try to "fix" them selves by pulsing a few times but only in the down direction, had they tried to go in the upright direction I think they could have fixed them selves. At this point I had no choice but to pull over in the cold and rain to manually move the wiper arms into a position were they could work normally, mind you I was going 70mph and was not able to see very well to even pull over. On an unrelated note, the headlights in this vehicle especially when the roads are wet are the absolute worse headlights I have ever used. Not acceptable for a brand new car.
