The contact owns a 2006 Ford Escape. The contact stated that there was an abnormal banging in the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that the rear inner and outer fender well was corroded and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 117,000. Updated 08/15/13 the consumer stated the right and left inner wells rusted away.
