Made an appt for recall in santa clara ca (first available appt they had was March), arrived, they said they didn't have parts (no call to cancel appt, no call to follow up as requested) and didn't have any indication of when they would get more. Called another location in sunnyvale, ca, same answer. Nationwide shortage, no notice of when they would have more. Told they would not call when they arrived, would have to keep calling back. Told to call Ford. My online Ford owner account has recall date of Oct 2016 but I just received a notice in Jan 2018.1) why am I just being notified now if this has been active for the last year and a half? 2) unacceptable for Ford to be out of parts with no delivery date in the middle of a recall.
