The contact owns a 2013 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the driver's side rear exterior door handle did not return to the closed position, causing the door to not latch. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. After diagnosis, they advised him that the child safety lock caused the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted.
