The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V643000 (latches/locks/linkages); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 47,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The contact stated that both the front driver and passenger side exterior door handles failed to latch securely until accessing the reset button located inside the door. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where both front door handles were replaced for the second time. In addition, the exterior rear driver side door handle was replaced one time.
