The contact owns a 2003 Ford Expedition. While driving approximately 68 mph, the contact heard an explosion and the side air bags suddenly deployed without a crash or impact. The failure occurred without warning. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road without incident. The vehicle was then towed to his residence. The contact was in the process of having the vehicle towed to the dealer. The manufacturer has not yet been notified. The current and failure mileages were approximately 75,000.

The contact owns a 2003 Ford Expedition. While driving approximately 45 mph, the air bags deployed without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they referred the contact to her insurance Agency. The manufacturer stated that they would not inspect the vehicle because the mileage exceeded the warranty. They would not assume any responsibility. The failure and current mileages were 82,000.

Driving down tar road when my truck caught the edge of pavement and shoot across the gravel shoulder then caught snowy hillside. Vehicle came in contact with several trees. The truck had severe impact totaling the unit. No air bags ever came out.

The light remained illuminated at all times and was noticed while driving 5 mph. The air bags were replaced in February of 2006, but the failure recurred. The dealer stated that the failure was not under warranty and that the contact would have to pay for the repair. The purchase date was unknown. The current mileage was 87,035 and failure mileage was 27,096.

I was in a mva on June 29, 2007. I hit several trees and went down a large embankment. Neither air bag deployed. I had severe frontal damage and driver damage. The vehicle was totaled. The vehicle was a 2003 Ford Expedition XLT.

: the contact stated the airbag warning light intermittently illuminated. The first time the airbag light illuminated was while driving, the vehicle lost power, and the engine locked, and would not start. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer. The dealer replaced an unknown fuse. Although the vehicle did not suffer another loss of power as stated before the airbag warning light continued to illuminate. The vehicle was returned to the dealer, who replaced the airbag warning light as well as the frontal airbags. The dealer suggested there was no danger and the vehicle was safe to drive, however the airbag warning light continued to illuminate. The vehicle is currently at the dealership where the dealer plans to replace the wiring harness.

Involved in a traffic accident, struck from the rear and front. Air bag did not deploy, and drivers seat back broke/twisted.

While towing a 30 foot trailer and driving at 60 mph consumer heard a loud popping sound. A few seconds later the trailer started to sway and consumer lost control. Vehicle and trailer flipped over several times. Consumer's children were treated at a hospital for minor bruises. Consumer's wife sustained chest and back injuries. Consumer sustained a bruised ankle/elbow/ back, and neck problems. None of the air bags deployed during this incident.
