Transmission dropped into lower gear & started to severely jerk. Engine revved up to 5,000 rpms. The roads were slippery & wet causing no control of vehicle. Took vehicle to dealership & mechanic could not duplicate problem. The problem is intermittent.

This is a vehicle with a 5 speed manual transmission. Also has cruise control. When using cruise control it does not disengage, causing engine to race. Dealer has been contacted.

When the speed control is activated going on an incline vehicle surges forward. The dealer has inspected the vehicle. Ford will not contact consumer.

While driving at 70 mph cruise control engaged. Trying to slow down, the cruise control wouldn't disengage. Consumer put the vehicle into neutral, and disengaged the switch on the steering wheel to disengage cruise control. Vehicle came to a stop.
