After washing and waxing my truck I noticed that on both of the back fenders the paint is starting to bubble up and there appears to be rust coming out of the bubbles. I have seen others online that are having this same problem and Ford knows about it check the link www.lemonlaw.com/wordpress/more-problems-for-Ford-paint-defects-in-2000-2005-models/ car and truck companies should be held responsible for their mistakes.

The coil packs and plugs have been changed on different times and the vehicle still has the same problems. Ford has to find a better solution to fix these ongoing issues so the customer does not have to keep paying all this money for the same problems over and over again. Engine lost power on several occasions and shakes when idling. Paint on front of vehicle started peeling off. All service work has been conducted a T a Ford dealership since the vehicle was purchased except for today with (2) more coil packs had to be installed at a local garage. This is apparently a big problem and something has to be done about it or Ford will find good customers going to other vehicle brands.

When accelerating slowly from a stop light, the drivers side window fell down into the door. Apparently the window regulator broke, an issue which is documented on numerous internet sites. The window dropping into the door created a very distracting driving situation, not to mention visual safety hazards as in today during rainy, foggy, humid conditions affecting the visibility through the remaining glass in the vehicle.

Driving to church on May 6th, 2012 @ 0900 a.M. on the interstate traveling @ 70 mph. I lowered the window about an inch. When I pressed the button to raise the window a loud pop occurred and the window dropped into the door-well. It scared everyone in the truck. It was a sunny day. Potential for loss of life is present with this issue. Inclement weather or blinding debris within the cab could raise the potential for loss of life. Please petition Ford Motor Company for a recall on this potentially life threatening issue.

The truck was not running. When the door was opened the flames, from the burning seat shot up and burnt the carpet and door panel, before it could be put out. The controls on the seat were completely melted. It still has a smell of an electrical fire.

I have a 2005 Ford F-150 FX4 with 48,000 miles. Towards the middle of winter, I noticed that the paint inside of the gas cap door at the bottom edge was starting to peel away from the body. It has progressively gotten worse over the last couple of months and is now visible with the gas door shut. I find this very disappointing considering the truck only has 48,000 miles on it and has been well taken care of.

Passenger side window regulator failure - fell inside door. According to dealer is a very common complaint caused by Ford using cheap plastic clips to secure cables. Had to tape up the window with plastic to proceed home. This is very unsafe and I know that Ford is aware of the problem but refuses to fix this defect because the vehicle is out of warranty. Glass cracked when it fell inside the door. Ford needs to fix this common defect, or at least tell all future customers of this - before they put their money into this shoddy workmanship.

Dealer did not repair vehicle per the recall notice, no work was done at all. Contacted dealer serv. Mgr., no attempt to look at vehicle. Called Ford cust serv. Just took info, no follow-up or call back. Filled out cust card after service was performed noting complaint, no call or attempt to contact me. Talked to a salesperson via email about dealer when approached to buy a truck by sales person, did not report to general mgr. About my issue with his serv. Dept.. recall was for power brake booster line which fails. No sign of new parts, clamps or disturbed engine compartment dirt, grime, etc. When I brought truck home right after service.

2005 Ford F-150 with <25K miles has paint spontaneously peeling off of the tailgate, hood and roof. The local dealership (who did not sell this truck) initially stated that there were problems with the paint job, in the metal itself and pretended to file a pictorial claim of the damages. Ford's "customer service" department denied the claim, stating that our request was to repaint areas that had scratches and dents. This is the furthest thing from the truth. "customer service" said that once a claim is reviewed they are done with it and there is no further recourse. In the meantime, we are stuck with a three-year old truck that is losing paint daily and beginning to rust.
