The truck had several crank-no start problems. It continued over a period of a few weeks. Vehicle finally got to the point it would not restart. It was a little hesitant at times when running and I was afraid it would die on me in traffic. We ran a diagnostic check on vehicle in beginning and retrieved code for the cam sensor. We replaced and it drove fine for one week. That's the point where it would not start. We had towed to dealership and upon their diagnosis has determined that the engine wire harness from the ficm to PCM and to the injectors had shorts in it. I have read on a previous recall # 05V270000, where the ficm wire had to be replaced. I am not sure if it is related, but the dealership has given us a price of $2600 to repair. I believe an engine wiring harness should be designed to last longer than 6 years.

While driving vehicle at any speed from 10 mph to 70 mph the truck will go into safe mode (limp-home mode) going down to 5 mph and losing all power steering. When diagnosed it is the throttle body control to me this is a safety issue what happens if I am driving 70 mph on the highway and it goes into safety mode and I lose all power steering. Does someone have to die before there is a recall on this"?" it will cost me around $1000 to fix per brondes Ford in toledo Ohio and I am told Ford has 2 or 3 vehicles a week come in for the same problem. To me this is not standard maintenance.

"electronic throttle control" failure causes the engine to lose all power, power steering is inoperable and vehicle must be stopped, ignition turned off and on again before vehicle is able to proceed. This has happened on 4 occasions in the past year with no warning. This defect poses a seriously dangerous situation, especially at highway speeds, as the operator has no control over the vehicle until able to pull to the side, turn ignition off and then restart the engine. Ford service says they are unaware of this problem but, it is reported numerous times in forums on Ford vehicle safety as a $500-$600 repair. This doesn't seem like a normal wear & tear issue but rather a factory defect that Ford should address before someone is injured?

Driver side power window is having issues rolling up. Will roll down fine, but when I go to roll it up, gets stuck halfway through. I have to grab top of the window to force it back all the way up. I had this problem 2 years ago when truck was under warranty and dealer replaced free of charge. Now I'm already having the same issue only 2 years later- I read a ton of posts on the web and it looks like this is an ongoing problem with Ford and should be something that should be recalled. There are reports of windows shattering on the highway for being only rolled up halfway when the window would not roll up- also what if I get stuck in a bad part of town, like compton, ca and my window won't roll up?

My 2005 Ford F150 pick-up drivers side window made a loud bang when I went to roll it up. I was driving when this happened and was very startled, almost hitting the car next to me. I looked for a website to fix it and found they have several issues with their electric windows. Add one more.

I have a 2005 Ford F150 truck. The end of December 2009 the driver's side window fell down. It started with the electric window button sticking and ended up all of a sudden falling down. The Ford mechanics said this is not unusual and could happen to all 4 windows. This is not a covered service for repair.

I was driving @ 45mph when engine suddenly stalled out and lost all power, rpms, and power steering. Check engine lights came on, along with "check gauges" message. Pulled over, turned off truck, then started up and everything was fine again. This is the second time this has happened. Since everything is working again, it wont give a diagnostic code, so problem cannot be fixed. I have read alot online of this happening to others, but Ford seems oblivious to the fact. Some say it could be a throttle positioning sensor.

Speedometer and gauges all drop to zero, power to clock/radio goes off, flash of ABS light and then flash of SRS light, when gauges return to normal the low fuel signal goes on in the odometer until the fuel gauge returns to normal. SRS light blinks 5 times then 3 times, repeats, and then stays on until the vehicle is shut off. This happens while the vehicle is being driven down the road and may happen multiple times in a row.

I bought this truck with 48,000 miles on it. It had a bad shake in the rear area. Also a bad brake shimmy. Took to Ford dealership I bought it. Couldn't find anything wrong. Told normal! I worked in the service dept of a Ford dealership I know normal. 53,000 or so miles bad clunking from transfer area wouldn't go into 4 wheel drive 1/2 the time took to Ford, told nothing wrong again. 72,000 miles transmission goes out. Told nothing could be done, out by 2000 miles. I was a service manager for a Ford dealership they could do a supplement on the warranty. I asked for 1/2 of cost told no. Even after documentation of all the services and complaints told to bad so sad. This truck has had transmission troubles, 4 wheel drive trouble, the power window switch fell apart in the door and a bad brake shimmy even after I had a 4 wheel brake job done, its still there. No help from Ford at all!

While driving 35 mph my Ford F150 truck engine shut down. The truck lost all power brakes and steering. Seconds before it stalled a engine malfunction light came on. I was only able to re-start after coming to a complete stop, placing the truck in park and turning the key off then back on. Took it to dealer and they road tested and diagnosed codes; P2104, P0121 and P2112. Pinpointed and found electronic throttle body physically sticking closed. Replaced etb and retested ok after repairs. This was not covered under warranty. Time of failure the truck mileage was 33900. See service repair order.

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-150. While driving 35 mph, the engine shut off and the warning indicator illuminated. The contact restarted the vehicle and pulled over to the side of the road. The dealer stated that they never heard of this type of failure and advised the contact to bring in the vehicle for repair. The dealer inspected the vehicle and stated that the electronic part that controls the foot pedal failed. The vehicle was repaired under warranty. The failure and current mileages were 33,900.

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-150. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle stalled when the brake pedal was depressed. When the failure occurred, the check engine indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The dealer repaired the failure and they stated that the sensors failed; however, the failure still persists. The vehicle was taken to the dealer approximately two times. The Ford manufacturer issued a recall for the power booster line. The vehicle has not been taken in to have the recall repaired. The failure mileage was 18,000 and current mileage was 35,820.

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F150. When the contact activated the headlights, the instrument panel lights would dim. As a result, the gauges became difficult to see. She took the vehicle to the dealer on three different occasions and was informed that the issue was a safety feature in order to prevent glare on the driver's eyes at night. The dealer did nothing to repair the vehicle during the first visit. During the second and third visits, the dealer offered no remedy. The manufacturer stated that she did not have a legitimate complaint and referred her to the service manager at the dealer. The current mileage was 11,382 and failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

My truck has 56K on it bought it used with 35K on it when it starts runs with high idle and the top end ticks really bad the ticking does not go away at all speeds at a stop light it sounds like a diesel tic tic tic sounds like a lifter is stuck. I put "lucas" in it to try to make it go away then I changed the oil ran about two weeks with no difference and changed it again and no change called Ford dealer they couldn't help they said I would have take it in and get charged $165. Then I changed the spark plugs maybe a fouled plug that wasn't it there goes 120 bucks a couple of weeks ago my wife was driving on the freeway and the drivers side window falls the window regulator broke $140 replaced that already. The passenger seat belt locks up sometimes now to the front the steering wheel shakes really bad when you apply the brakes turned the rotors at Napa $20 new brake pads $90 at kragens balanced tires free I work at a tire shop shaking went away for about three days 350 miles later the shaking is back with a vengeance checked the balancing on the tires they were good rotors are out of shape again still on there now and the shaking is getting worse I cant afford them right now so they will stay there hooked up the snap on ehtos computer to it and registers that two sensors have an open circuit but no explanation for top end noise injectors might be bad.

Multiple window regulator assembly failures during normal use of the vehicle and even parked in some instances. It happens randomly and causes much stress. If you are driving in the extreme heat, snow or a heavy rain storm you can do nothing about it. If you have passengers especially small children they will have to suffer until you can get to a service station or have the tools on hand to fix it. Once the window falls you are exposed to the elements with no protection from having the window up. The window falls into the door and you cannot get the window back up unless you take the door panel off and manually shove the window up and place something there to hold it. I have had the parts replaced every time and it continues to happen and to multiple people. It has happened to me five times in three years.
