F-150 4x4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,000 miles

The week of my wedding, I had nothing but trouble from this truck. The shop fixed the problem and told me to drive it around and see what happens. It was fine until the next morning. The truck engine light came on and was missing and running a little rough. I had to pick up a friend at the airport... an hour away. By the time I was returning home the truck was running very rough. I took it back to the shop and they determined that what they had fixed the day before was bad again and 2 more plugs were bad. I took it back to the dealership were I purchased the truck and they've had it 14 days now. They say it's ready to pick up and fixed what the shop before had fixed! I doubt this is a real fix!

Ford will fix only one injector at a time and only if it's leaking when the mechanic checking see's it leaking. If its not leaking when he checks( which it might not be) you pay $100.00 because the dealer can't warranty it. The problem can come and go so some people pay and don't get a fix and others have to come back again an again when one of the remaining ones goes bad. It gets worse. A bad injector will cause the converter to go bad and then the truck won't run.It gets worse. So many went bad Ford does'nt have ANY parts in stock anywhere to get them running. Mine has been sitting at the dealer since 3-18-09 today is 4-28-09. Parts newest date to come (had 2 dates before this one) 5-14-09

Update from Jun 6, 2009: just got it back 6-5-09

F-150 King Ranch 5.4L V8

  • Automatic transmission

This is an ongoing problem Ford will not acknowledge or repair. I will be trading the vehicle in for another manufacturers vehicle due to this, the frequency of occurrence and Fords unwillingness to tell me what I believe they know...
