I was driving home from work and speedometer stoped working. My truck downshifts with no warning. I don't know if this is a transmission issue. Would not show my speed also the gas gauge is always at half way. The truck is a danger and sits parked in my yard due to it being so unsafe. Why won't Ford fix their broken vehicles?

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, he heard an abnormal sound. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the timing belt assembly and the camshaft cover gasket to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with TSB: 18-2305, however the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 81,000.

shaft rattle on cold start up- started around 140,000 miles- safety issue *vacuum pump leaking causing other unknown problems, when running the heater and a/c, blows strong cloud of exhausted in the passengers face- safety and health issue *driver seat will not move- checked all power and seat motor- no issues found. dealerships unable to figure out issue. first the problem was intermittent now no movement - safety issue * A/c will not blow cold air, everything else works correct, full charge, fuse ETC. unable to find the issue. intermittent issues. safety issue- unknow if this is causing the problem Most of these issues are not throwing check engine light, they only say to check voltage. I have contacted several dealerships who agree that this is a on going issue with this make, model and several years. ford found the issue and corrected on newer model but refuses to help with the ones on the road.

Took my vehicle in for 145,000 mile check. Informed the gas pump fuse relocation was not performed, started to melt. For the fix I was asked to pay $336. This an electrical and fuel issue. It is a known issue by Ford. Should this not be a recall, if it is a safety concern?

Ford knowingly has allowed a faulty design on its 3.5 Ecoboost engine where the exhaust manifold bolts shear off on it's first generation motor. The exhaust manifold bolts shear off allowing exhaust gases to enter the cab thru the firewall. The sheared bolts and leaking manifold also alter the emissions of the vehicle. Exhaust gases in the cab of the vehicle would explain my headaches when driving longer distances. The local Ford Dealer has inspected and confirmed this is a known issue with multiple F-150's manufactured from 2011 -2017. The manufacturer has redesigned the system in vehicles starting in 2018 but has refused to resolve the issue for previous years. The repair estimate from the dealer is $3944. There were no warning signs of the failure and no communications from the manufacturer of this issue prior to a routine service being performed by the local dealer. The manufacturer has been unwilling to resolve this issue to date.

I pulled in to traffic and all of a sudden the truck went into limp mode. I barely missed being hit. I pulled up on the median strip with cars going 60 MPH past me. I parked the truck for 30 minutes. The wrench light came on. After sitting for 30 minutes the check engine light came on. I edged off the median and limped the truck to the next exit for a mechanic. The mechanic pulled the code P2112 Throttle Actuator Control System Stuck Closed. This was incredibly dangerous and I could have been hit. In checking on line, it appears to be a common problem that FORD knows about and it should be a recall!!

2013 Ford F150 in the past week has experienced sudden downshift with speedometer dropping to 0 with electronics failing in the vehicle while being operated. I started to research and there was not an official recall but instead treated as a Customer satisfaction program 19N01. I have never received any emails thru the ford app, although my email is registered, never had this brought to my attention by any of the Ford dealers while they were performing routine maintenance. I immediately took the truck to the dealer where it was purchased at Preston Ford, Denton MD. I have been advised that there was a warranty extension done until 10 tears or 150,000 miles. My vehicle currently has 155K miles. I was advised on 12/5 that they will not cover the normally $1200 repair because of the mileage, even though I wasn't provided an explanation why I was not notified. Then I was told due to supply chain issues, Ford is unable to get the lead frame, so they have to order a whole new valve body for $1900 if I would like the truck to be repaired. This is my daily vehicle. How is it that an issue that causes a sudden stop, which could lead to collisions and has also been known to shift in reverse not an actual recall since lives are in danger? This should be a true recall and Ford needs to fix. This issue shouldn't have a mileage constraint on it. A serious driving hazard should be rectified regardless of how many miles a vehicle has.

The driver turned off and restarted the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to shift into gear immediately. The contact stated that after the vehicle shifted into gear the vehicle lunged forward however, the driver was able to keep driving the vehicle. The failure recurred twice. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 168,000.

When attempting to coast to a stop at slow speeds the throttle stays up and even causes the truck to accelerate at times. The truck will shift hard randomly. The truck appears to get stuck in a high gear and loses power to accelerate, at times. Driving at highway speeds the truck loses power. A mechanic shop pulled codes p0720 and P0722. The mechanic shop referred me to the dealer because the codes were under an extended warranty for a recall 16s19-supplement #1. The dealer reported that they did not pull any codes off the truck except finding erratic misfires. The dealer reported that the truck engine light has to come on for them to read a code. They reported they can not order the lead frame part until they pull a code off the truck. They also report the part is on back order with no ETA. The trucks wrench light continues to come on but not engine light. An auto body shop was able to pull P0720 code off my truck without the engine light coming on. Ford has not returned my calls.

On October 16, 2022 I was driving at a speed of 45mph. the 2013 F150 changed gears by itself. I maintained control and drove the vehicle home. i got on my computer and looked up the issue to see if others had experienced this and found out there is a recall. Never heard about it until then. I took to the dealership this morning 10/17 and they say they reprogrammed the pcm. Picked up the truck and driving out of the parking lot, the truck did the same thing, only worse. NOW they tell me the truck needs a transmission molded lead frame. BUT they don't have that in stock and it is backordered. They said i needed a transmission diagnostic. i refused that and told them there were no problems until the 16th and now since they supposedly fixed it the problem became worse. Then they said well there is one more thing but we have to hook it us to the computer and it had to show some codes before they could replace that part. it didn't show the codes. I had read about that and told them sometimes codes show and sometimes they don't. I told them to drive the truck and tell me it is fixed They drove it and it had the issue. Mechanic saw the wrench on the dash, tested and the code came up. then he said the truck needed the part. Dealer has the complete part in stock (the molded lead frame with another piece on it) they will charge $1100. I have no choice now but to get it replaced. I need the truck. they had the audacity to call me and tell me they needed to replace the transmission fluid filter, but it would be another $279. Since the didn't have the original part that is warrantied, they should have thrown in the filter. I called a mechanic friend of mine and he said decline the filter. they are just trying to get money out of you. This is really the first issue I have had with the vehicle. I hope this fixes the problem. Ford needs to do something more extensively about this problem before someone is killed.
