I regularly have my truck serviced.. today my engine light came on with no warning. It sent a message to put vehicle in park. It was towed to my home. It will not let me shift to drive with an uncontrollable vibration. It did almost the same thing when it was recalled. I have always paud my payments on time... had it servuced accordingly. Mt truck has given me more problems than I deserve. Truck being driven apx 55 mph and no change from me truck has sudden slowdown with speedometer drop to 40S then recovers as truck speeds up on it's own. Same day as trying to park, in drive, pressing on gas engine revs but does not move. Today (7 days later) accelerating from stop transmission sticks in low gear. Has had powertrain recall applied.

The end of last may, pulling our camper up the raton pass, in a construction zone and a foggy sleet storm the mil illuminated, the engine died and we were barely able to negotiate our way back to the shoulder, after just having merged into the left lane. We were able to restart the truck and it died a couple more times along the way so we took it to xit Ford in dalhart tx. The tech there found a bunch of codes stored in the PCM, cleared them and sent us on our way and the drive back to dallas was uneventful. After we got home, the wife was driving her truck on the freeway and it died on her on 3 different occasions, so I took it to North central Ford, since they had done a PCM recall re-flash (19V-075) on it prior to leaving for our trip. They told us there was an even newer re-flash and the preformed that and it seemed to settle down. With the recent cold snap we have had, the truck has started to exhibit a "a crank no-start" symptom and with a little research I came across "tsb 15-0137" which fits all of our symptoms to a tee. This is a very dangerous situation... having your truck die on you, while pulling a trailer, up an almost 8000 foot pass, in a storm... it is a wonder we were not killed! the tsb was published September 2, 2015 and covers F150 model years 2009 - 2014. I believe Ford should issue a recall for this, there are many people on the internet complaining about having the same issue and I would not have found the cure without them. The issue is caused by the fuel pump control module fuse not having contacts large enough to carry the current required, getting hot and melting in the fuse box. The remedy listed in the tsb is a new fuse with contacts at least 10 times larger. When I checked our truck fuse 27 was indeed melted and I ordered el3Z-14293-a as specified in the tsb. I am also surprised that neither dealership seemed to know about the tsb.

I have a F150 4-wheel eco boost V6. I recently had my vehicle in for an oil change and at that time decided to have the recall done for the software update. The next few days I noticed that there was some hesitation with the gears shifting and the transmission at times would drop. I contacted the dealership to bring my truck back in at that time they could not find anything wrong but an oil pressure sensor. Some days later I was driving on the feeder road getting ready to enter the highway. As soon as I entered my speedometer stop working and the transmission dropped into 1st gear. There was a car behind me that almost collided with my truck. My family was in the car at the time and this could have been a serious accident. The next day I brought my truck back into the dealership and they did a quick diagnosis. They stated that I had transmission issues and that I needed to look into getting another vehicle through them and trading my truck out. I was upset by the response so I took my vehicle to a local transmission shop where they thoroughly inspected the truck. The findings were that the oss sensor was faulty and it pull up a P0270 code. The shop advised me that this was a warranty and safety issue and that I immediately take it back to the dealership to have it repaired. When I return to the dealership they at that time acknowledge that it was a warranty issue and could be fix, but they could not even look at it for 2-weeks and would not even provide a loaner after stating my safety concerns. I then contact Ford Motor Company and they could not assist until the dealership looked at my truck. I did state to them the time issue at the dealership but was told they have no control over what they do. I'm stuck with driving a unsafe vehicle for an issue outside of my control and no one at Ford is taking the matter seriously. This could cause a fatal or severe injury.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While the vehicle was parked on a down hill driveway, it began to roll backwards. The gear was shifted into park, but the parking brake was not applied. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact was able to stop the vehicle by depressing the brake pedal. On a different occasion, while driving 50 mph, the check engine warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle began to shake forcefully. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to exceed 50 mph. The contact was able to park on the side of the road for thirty minutes before restarting the vehicle and continuing to drive with no failure. The contact opened the hood and noticed that the radiator was covered in oil. The vehicle was taken to rod baker Ford sales Inc. (located at 16101 S Lincoln hwy, plainfield, il 60586, (815) 436-5681), but was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 104,219.

Travelling in 30-35mph zone when all power drops - the dash screen lit up orange with the wrench icon, engine light came on, throttle response was lost which made the truck slow down. I veered over into the turn lane as the truck came to a stop. When it stopped, it was idling very roughly. The throttle was barely responsive... I could only inch forward (even if I floored it), but that's about it. I shut the truck off, waited 10 seconds, turned it back on, and all was well. This has happened 3 times in 3 weeks. I would not want to be on the highway when this happens.

The contact heard a loud, abnormal noise when trying to accelerate more than 10 mph. The contact also stated that the power train fault warning indicator was illuminated and the transmission temperature was between 180 to 190 degrees. Also, on another occasion, the vehicle began to hesitate and turned off while driving. The vehicle was unable to be driven. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer and the manufacturer were not contacted. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 19V075000 (power train). The failure mileage was 102,000.

While accelerating quickly, but not so much as to spin the tires, the vehicle started "bucking". I was doing about 35-40 when it got pretty bad. The engine felt as if it was stopping and starting very quickly. It was actually pretty hard to control and it causes the truck to not allow me to accelerate onto the highway or even reach highway speeds. The check engine light started flashing and did not stop flashing for about 2 minutes. The truck would also not let me accelerate for that amount of time either.

My 2013 F150 platinum died on me while driving, and would not start back up. I had it diagnosed by david stanley Ford in midwest city and found out that I needed to have a fuse relocation kit put in to fix my engine failure. I researched what that was, and found out that the factory installed MINIfuse running the fuel pump cannot handle the amount of current going through it, and overtime it melts the fuse box itself, instead of blowing the fuse, which causes complete engine failure. It is such a commonly known issue that Ford has even issued a tsb explaining how to fix and install this problem with the above mentioned kit. Why I am complaining is because this issue that causes dangerous engine failure while driving and which leaves the owner stranded, is not a recall when even Ford knows that it is a factory installed malfunction. It is 100% a safety issue for not only those driving 2009-2014 Ford vehicles where this issue has been known to occur, but also for everyone else on the road when your Ford vehicle dies while driving down the road or highway.

Also, when the vehicle was turned off, there was an abnormal noise coming from the engine. The vehicle was taken to prime Ford saco (857 portland rd, saco, me 04072, (207) 282-0300) where it was diagnosed that the water pump and steering column needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 109,480.

Since purchased new the engine will intermittently completely shut down especially during damp weather. It has spent weeks at different dealerships yet the problem persists. The engine will sputter and kill taking with it the power steering, brakes, and lights. It is still an issue today. The other problem that is really concerning is the automatic transmission will suddenly shift itself into first gear at highway speeds and send rpms racing for no reason. I was told by my dealership V&H in marshfield that they 'reprogrammed' the transmission but that still happens from time to time. All of these things happened mainly at highway speeds with the engine being most common during wet weather. It happens rather frequently with the last episode being on 8/12/19

I started my truck and the wrench light came on. The truck was in limp mode and would not accelerate. I restarted the truck and was able to pull it back in the driveway. I plugged in an obd code reader and it gave a P2112 "throttle actuator control system stuck closed." Upon some research I found several models between 2011 through 2015 have had similar issues causing dangerous situations on the highway. The issue was moving when it first occurred, but thankfully it was just outside my driveway, I hadnt made it to the highway yet. I restarted the truck, and was able to park it in the driveway.

As part of safety recall notice 19S07, I scheduled my local Ford dealer (koon's/annapolis, md) for service on this recall. I scheduled my 100,000 service appointment to go with it. Curiously, about an hour after making the appointment, a representative from the dealer's service department called to say while they could take the appointment that I was paying for out of my pocket without issue, the recall repair that fmc is paying for was not available to me until... Oct. 1, 2019 at the earliest. Why is it that a repair/service that I'm paying for is available to me immediately, but a repair that fmc is paying for -- that required a "don't delay / schedule today" letter from Ford to alert me about this dangerous situation isn't available until Oct. 1?
