I have stopped driving my 2013 Ford F150 and can't believe they have not been pulled of the road. They are unsafe to everyone around them. My vehicle has downshifted on 6 occasions ranging from 6th gear and 4th gear down to 1st gear. My vehicle locked up rear wheels until I was able to get down to 5mph. Had to pull off the road and turn off vehicle and it worked again. I am disappointed in Ford and NHTSA for allowing this to happen. My Ford F150 has sat in my driveway for over a month now. What does it going to take to have this fix?

My 2013 Ford unexpectedly downshift into first gear while the vehicle was in motion. I was traveling 40-45 mph. No accident or injuries. This also happened last yea, I was unaware of a recall or issue. I am worried about transmission damage, the current recall doesn't cover transmission service or inspection if you experiences this downshift. Until the recall software is resolved I will not drive my truck on the highway or high speeds as I'm worried it will happen again.

I received my Ford recall notice on the need to reprogram power train module on or about April 1st 2019. My first instance of my 2013 F150 stx supercab, going into sudden downshift mode and then limp mode (blue wrench signal) occurred around April 12, 2019. I was driving at about 30 miles an hour on a city street when my truck when the truck downshifted by itself and the blue wrench light appeared. My truck went into limp mode and I was unable to drive. After pulling over to the side of the street, I turned off my truck, waited a few minutes and then the issue resolved itself. I took my vehicle into the Ford dealership on April 18, 2019 where recall 19S07 6R80 (reprogram power train module) work was completed. On May 17, 2019, while driving about 30 miles an hour on a city street (without notice or cause) my truck again went into downshift mode, limp mode and the blue wrench light came on. Same as the first instance, I pulled over to the side of the street, turned off my truck, waited a few minutes and when I turned on the truck again the issue was resolved. It was clear that this issue was electrical and no mechanical and the original recall work completed by the dealership did not resolve the issue. On 05/19/2019, I again took my truck to the Ford dealership where this time the module lead frame was replaced after code P0722 was identified. I want the record to reflect that the first recall, reprogramming of the power train module did not work, and left me at risk of a second downshifting incident occurring. My truck had a second incident and after returning to the dealership a second time the leadframe was replaced. I also want to note that the dealership's data that the original recall work was completed on 04/26/2019 is inaccurate. The original recall work was performed by the dealership on 04/18/2019.

Reported this problem before and now it getting worse it was just the transimission shifting from high gear 6 at 70 mpg in cruise and when I tap the breake peddle to disengage the cruise it dowm shifted to low 1 and the RPM went from 2500 to 6500 and stay in low until I came to a stop then everything went back to normal it now also blown transimission lines and when I take off from a side street of stop light it will take off ok then about the time I reach the center of the street it will sfift into nuteral I can step or pump the gas peddle but nothing happens it just goes into a slow role after 3 to 5 sec it then jumps into gear and takes off normal again also at slow speeds you can hear and feel it clunking into and out of gear and with a metallic sound some times once in the snow had it in 4X4 at parked it and turned it off the next day I back it out of the drive then shifted it into drive then the transfer case shifted it out of 4X4 and it sounded like 2- 8 lbs sledge hammers smashing together and jarring the hole truck this in the beginning has only happen a few times but I was on the freeways at hi speeds I dont drive it on the freeways now and because the dealer ships want a $100 each time I take it in for the same problem and they dont do anything and plus I paid eatra for the platinum warrenty so if I have to leave it I get a loner and I have even been able to get a loner even when it took them over a week to install the transmission lines after they blow out from stop and going in on residential streets also when the trucks shift from high to low you can hear the solenoids shifting all overe under the dash floor infront of the seat along with the dash light flashing even one with a eng with a trans attached

Ford F-150 recall: The vehicle was in motion while driving on the highway at 60-65 miles per hour, the rear tires locked momentarily then release as the vehicle slowed but never loss power. It was raining and the windshield wipers intermittently changed speeds...faster/slower/faster. The day before the speedometer stopped working while the vehicle was in motion. May all be related to the oss.

2013 Ford F-150 ecoboost with 62000 miles. Currently giving cel code P0016. This is the timing chain stretch issue. Makes it difficult to accelerate to pass a vehicle. Should not have this issue with 62K miles. Now that I am 2K miles out of power train warranty it is not covered even though I had it to dealer for service and nothing was ever mentioned with this issue. I have had the rattle for some time.

While driving the 2013 Ford 150 ecoboost, it suddenly lost power, the wrench light came on.... tried accelerating but was not able to...had to find a way to move out of the street before something happened and have someone crash the back....horrible experience..after finding a place to park, turned the truck off...when turned it back on was working fine again while driving the 2013 Ford F150 ecoboost. It suddently lost power, the wrench light came on, I tried to accelerate but was not able to. I had to pull over to the side of the road, turn off the truck and turn it back on. When I turned it back on it was working fine again. This has happened multiple times during the week. And Ford is no help unless the check engine light comes on. It's is super unsafe to drive, yet Ford says to keep driving the vehicle.

On 4/2/19 while driving at approx. 50 mph, all at once, the speedometer dropped to 0, air bag light came on, and the truck started running an idling rough. When we got to our destination we were planning on calling on someone to pick us up. We started the truck to move it out of the way, and it was back to normal. We drove home no problems. I drove the truck to work the very next day, 10 minutes away, ran errands, about 30 minutes driving, and went back to work. Still no problems. As I was getting ready to leave work, I hadn't been driving but a few minutes, then the truck all of sudden downshifted to first gear. I almost lost control. I was up to about 45 mph at this point. The back end of the truck kept sliding until it finally slowed down. Luckily I live in a small town with not a lot of traffic. I am not going to attempt to drive it again until out local dealership checks it out. I called the dealership and they have advised us to bring it there on Monday April 8th, and leave it with them.

While driving on the highway at a rate of 70-75 mph, I noticed by speedometer twitch a few times. I focused on it while driving and noticed the truck downshift to 3rd gear from 6th, and the speedometer dropped to about 45mph on a dime. Another instance I was driving home, and the truck decided to shift from 6th gear down to 1st, after which I quickly shifted into neutral and slowed to a stop on the shoulder. While driving on a dirt road about 40mph my truck then shifted from 5th to 3rd lurched and went back to 5th gear. An odd experience is when my truck, when in a parking lot shifted from 1st gear to 5th("?") I pulled over and placed the vehicle in the manual mode for shifting and drove a few miles. After which I received a wrench symbol and my all of my meters went into a dashed mode. I pulled over and turned off, then turned back on my truck and didn't have anymore issues. I took my truck into the Ford dealership and they told me that it was an issue with the wiring in the transmission. We will see if that fixes the issue, however I got a recall notification in the mail for involuntary downshifting which make me think there is another underlying issues, other than the wiring.

Truck's output speed sensor and harness failed while moving through an intersection and downshifted the vehicle into low gear almost causing an accident. Ford has a current recall on the software but not the sensor. Prior year vehicles also had the same recall and Ford replaced the sensor as customer satisfaction. The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19V075000 (power train). When the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle would not accelerate. The contact stated that the battery cable was removed and then re-installed, and the vehicle functioned normally. After driving 5 miles at 35 mph, the vehicle started to decelerate and lost power. The vehicle was taken to landers Ford South (95 goodman rd E, southaven, ms 38671, (662) 349-4300) where it was diagnosed that the speed shaft sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000.

I have been having same issue as everyone else, as my 2013 F150 has shifting up and down erratically. Driving at steady speeds and all of a sudden shifts up and down from 1st to 5th and 6th gear and back down again suddenly and unexpectedly. Which as everyone else has stated it is a major safety problem and Ford is not standing behind their product. Ford knows of this problem as they have recalled certain years but not 2013 which is apparently just as much of an issue, now that I have taken my truck in for service it will my responsibility to pay at least $1000 to repair maybe more if more problems are found. This is not an isolated problem as there is an issue that spans many years and models of vehicles. The consumer should not have deal this as this a manufacturing issue that has spanned years and many models and is a major safety issue for me and that unsuspecting victim in traffic accidents.

Ford F150 supercrew 5.0 V8 6 speed auto transmission. Erratic shifting while driving. Sometimes will stay in 5th gear at a stop wont shift down, sometimes when pulling out in 1st gear will not shift up. Bounces back and forth between 1st gear and third or 5th while driving. Shutting off vehicle and restarting sometimes solves issue but becoming more frequent, recall for reprogramming speed output sensor was performed with no resolution. Appears to be the lead frame module issue that was recalled in 2011-2012 Ford F150 but not recalled or extended warranty on 2013 models. Very very dangerous, cannot drive this vehicle!

While driving at 70mph noticed my truck had down shifted into 5th gear, I slowed to pull over and noted the airbag light was on, the wrench indicator and speedometer was at zero. My truck suddenly down shifted to 1st gear at approximately 25-30 mph. I was able to stop safely at the shoulder and turned the ignition off and restarted. My truck started normally. I went to Ford huntington beach and described the situation. After evaluating dealer stated trans fluid full, poss lead frame damage and valves getting stuck. $1600! I informed the dealer of the pending recall for the transmission on this vehicle and was informed that it only covered a software upgrade. Damage caused by a known fault should be covered by the manufacturer.
