There's a known problem with fuse #27 overheating and causing the fuel pump to stop working. Do a google search. It affects many years prior to 2014. This is serious as it can leave people stranded. It has not thrown a computer code from 2014 F15. Simply replacing the fuse did allow starting but it will happen again. There's a fuse relocation kit (el3Z-14293A) available but Ford should be responsible for performing this repair. The fuse does'nt blow out but the fuse socket overheats for some reason.

Ford has obviously machined manifolds for the F-150 that are less than reliable and lack in quality. The exhaust manifolds are not hardened to endure engine heat and end up warping. This causes exhaust bolts to break, exhaust gaskets to be destroyed and in turn causes loud noises and potential damage to the motor on their F-150 trucks. Ford obviously knows that they have a problem on their hands as they are currently dealing with 1,700+ vehicles that are sitting in service shops across the country for this very reason. I called Ford to find out what was causing the issue and they explained that the materials just aren't holding up to driving conditions. Ford is working redesigning the manifolds and releasing them for purchase. However, it you have an issue this large and have admitted that it is due to your own failure to produce a product/part that will endure normal driving conditions, this should be recalled and fixed by Ford. Personally, I don't drive this truck very often. It is stored inside and taken care of to the extreme. The vehicle had been parked in a garage for a few days to a week (approximately) and when I started the truck I heard a loud "clicking" noise. I took it out for a drive to see if I could locate the noise. At first is was just a fast clicking noise on acceleration. This became a loud clicking mixed with a whistling noise. Thinking it was a bearing in one of the turbos, I took it in for inspection and they found the broken exhaust stud and damaged exhaust gasket. While working on fixing the issues, they found that all of this resulted from the deformed manifold.

Traveling down a two-lane road about 50 mph when the truck's engine suddenly lost all power and an error message popped up on the screen. Had to stop in the middle of the road blocking traffic due to no shoulder. Had to put truck in park, turn off motor and only then was able to get motor running again. Managed to get 1/4 mile back home. Found out from my obd diagnostics that the throttle body was stuck. Only option was to replace the throttle body to ensure it didn't occur in the middle of the road or worse, a major intersection. No problems since replacement.

I recently financed a truck and the seller did not disclose that it was a flood damage vehicle. I did auto check and found out there was also recalls on the truck when he sold it to me. That he didn't fix recalls are for the seatbelts N the bolts for the seabelts. The truck also is leaking oil. He also tempered with the engine lights because it's leaking oil but no lights turned on. I want a full refund of every dollar I have given him. He also lied on the odometer.

While driving on a country road, the truck lost all power and service wrench came on. I pulled to side of a 2 lane rd and coasted to a stop. Turned the cr off and on again and code was gone. I drove for about 4 minutes and the truck lost power again. This repeated about 4 times as I was in a mountain area with no cell service. I had to to keep trying to coast as far as I could to find service. Finally after about an hour of stalling on the side of the road, I was able to get cell service and contact help. At 1am we got a tow to the dealer that just repaired the vehicle. They said the problem was unrelated to the service just performed and we had a bad throttle body. The item was replaced.

I drove my F-150 eccoboost truck to the snow, same area I have been hundreds of times and suddenly smoke burst from the engine, then flames shot out around the hood, popped the hood and fought the fire for half an hour, it kept restating. It stranded myself and children, and we had a harrowing experience that was pretty dicey. Ford had just put in a new engine, at my cost, +14,000.00, after the timing chain failed. They would not repair it at their cost, even though I have copies of the fault codes from before the failure of the timing chain that destroyed the old engine. The new one had under 10,000 miles on the new engine, probably about 5,000 miles on it. We had driven on the relatively flat grade mainline road, and drove up about 0.8 miles, climbing maybe 400 ft elevation over that distance. I was in the process of turning the vehicle around when the engine burst into flames. It was on a gravel road. We had traveled from home, 35.2 miles.

While traveling on the highway we saw looked out the rearview mirror and saw white/gray smoke coming up from between the truck bed and the cab of the truck. We exited the freeway. While exiting the white/gray smoke turned to black then flames shot up. We pulled over and got out as the flames continued to grow. We attempted to put out the fire but it grew very fast. The back glass exploded and the entire cab and front of the vehicle was engulfed. 911 was called. Firefighters arrived and put out the fire. The vehicle and contents were a total loss. The fire department reports states that the fire was caused by a mechanical failure in the engine compartment or under the passenger compartment causing flames to show from the back of the vehicle and causing heavy damage to the front of the vehicle and passenger compartment.
