When accelerating, about 90% of the time the vehicle will get warnings for "hill descent control fault" and "advance track service". when this happens, the vehicle will not accelerate anymore and starts slowing down. This has happened to me twice getting onto the interstate in the past month but luckily no vehicles were coming up behind me. This is a huge safety issue though that Ford needs to recognize and fix. The dealership said they have no idea what is causing it but everyone online says that it's likely to be the steering rack. Recall the steering rack because this has apparently happened to a lot of people.

The engine has repeatedly had cylinder misfires over the past 100,00 miles and 2 years. It's happened many times with different cylinders. Replacing the coilpack resolves the issue but it returns after a few weeks. This appears to be the moisture problem with the turbo intercooler that already has several reports. This occurs when the vehicle is in motion and usually while accelerating. It happens most often during wet conditions. When this happens, there is a loss of power and the vehicle slows considerably. This is very dangerous in heavy traffic or when pulling into traffic.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after driving the vehicle for several hours, there was an abnormal exhaust odor in the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure was more evident in warmer climates after the vehicle was driven for more than an hour and a half. The vehicle was first taken to matthews currie Ford located at 130 N tamiami trail, nokomis, fl 34275, (800)248-2378 to be diagnosed. The mechanic was able to pinpoint a pinhole sized leak however, when the vehicle was taken to nick abraham elyria Ford located at 1115 E broad St, elyria, oh 44035, (440) 366-3673, the mechanic was unable to pinpoint a location for the possible exhaust leak. The contact was informed that no repairs would be made if the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted or informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 59,500.

The truck was running for about 15 minutes. We were going down a major highway in one of the passing lanes at approximately 70mph then without any warning power was lost. On the display trac stability came on then cycled thru hill assist and several others. I drifted of the road just past a exit. The engine felt like it was missing terribly as it cycling thru these errors. I shut it down and restarted it seemed ok, but check engine light still on, when I tried to move it started to shake and cycle errors again. I shut it down again and restarted this time it was running ok. The check engine light was still on and we drove with thecheck engine light for approximately 400 miles stopping and shuting off engine several times.light still on. Stopped for 1 hour to eat when restarting no check engine light on and has been working as normal today.

In early September of 2019, I was driving my 2015 Ford F-150 on a major highway at about 65 mph. Suddenly, the vehicle stalled and lost all power as the dashboard lite up with some kind of traction warning. I drifted to the side of the road and put it in parked. The whole vehicle shook significantly at this point. I turned the vehicle off and waited about 2minutes. I started the truck up and went on my way with no problem. (note: This incident was a serious safety issue as I was on a major roadway in heavy traffic. My 10 and 8 year old grandchildren were in the back seat). A few weeks and a couple hundred miles later, I was on a narrow mountain road going about 45 mph when the exact same thing happened. I took the truck to the Ford dealer after both occurrences, but they could not find anything wrong with it, and said there was nothing they could do. I'm reluctant to drive it as this situation could cause an accident. It only has 42,000 miles on it and I use it to tow my travel trailer. I was not towing the trailer when these incidents occurred. I saw on your web site that several other people have had similar issues with the Ford F-150. Is there anything I can do about this? note that I bought the truck new in 2015 from the same dealer that I took it to for service. Driving on freeway at 70 mph when all of a sudden vehicle enters limp mode which decelerates to 30 mph in the left lane - car in back of me had to slam on brakes and swerve to avoid hitting me. The wrench and limp mode warning lights illuminated. I was able to get to the shoulder and restart the vehicle. My truck did not regain accerlation and I had to have a tow truck take it to the dealer - I found out today it was the throttle body which sounds as if this a very common issue but with no recalls. I can't imagine what would have happened if that little car in back of me would have rear ended me, he would have been killed for sure.

I purchased my 2015 F150 about a year ago. There is a tsb for a valve on the top of the gas tank. Tsb states emission related with warranty covered. Ford stating it was built in Canada so don't have to warranty in America. Vehicle cuts out after stopping and then accelerating. How can Ford sell a vehicle to be used in America with a known issue and not be liable? this is a safety concern. Tsb 15-0171 engine code P2450.. part number involved is same on Canada or american vehicles.

While in motion, at highway speeds on a highway and sometimes slower speeds on town streets too, my truck would suddenly start flashing multiple errors and the throttle would immediately be unresponsive. In 1 second I was dead in the water. The truck would immediately start slowing down due to lack of propulsion and the engine would have a very low rough idle. The throttle would not work at any speed. The only way to recover control of propulsion was to come to a complete stop right where the problem occurred (very dangerous), turn off the vehicle and then restart the vehicle. After restart the problem would completely disappear. Until it happened again. This problem appeared 3 times in 1 week, all while the vehicle was traveling uphill. I was lucky to not be in traffic at the time. I took the vehicle to the dealer and they reported the vehicle needed a new throttle body, and that this issue was common and that a recall was not in place. The repair cost is over $500.
